Description

Great campsite between Etosha and Torra bay. We paid 980 for 4 pax. Every spot is very distant so you do not feel that there is someone else in the campsite.Every campsite spot has water, toilets, braai, shower. No electricity. You can use little swimming. Perfect sunset view from the rocks. Highly recommended. No wild animals.

N$261 pppn +N$50 daily concession fee.

Largely as previously described. Friendly staff, large, quirky boulder camping spots with shade and lizards aplenty. Nice pool and sundowner bar nestled in a rock kopje adjacent to reception. Plenty of space between campsites. They also offer elephant and rhino tracking in association with the main lodge.

Worth a visit.

We really enjoyed to stay here. Friendly staff, beautiful place, nice, big, well equiped and quiet campsites, beautiful swimming pool and bar. In january we payed 260N p.p.p.n + 50N community fees per stay (not per person).

Beautiful campsite! Lovely swimming pool and sunset bar. The location is great. Cool outdoor showers and toilet! Really recommend!!

Very beautiful and stunning place to stay. Helpful and friendly staff, even in the morning the waterbin at our private ablutions had been heated up, while we still slept. Also our late arrival caused by a miss-sending of our GPS, was no problem. Thanks a lot

Very nice camp.
The price is a bit expensive, we paid 330N$pnpp. (It is the price of high season).
You have private bathroom, kitchen, and electricity plug. The swimming pool is very cold but the view from the bar is nice at sunset.

A lovely space with private camp spaces. We had hot water, the small plunge pool was nice and clean, cold drinks from the bar and very helpfull staff. It is a community campsite; 30% goes to the community and conservation. They have been struggling with draught, so we happily pay a couple of N$ more to support the local community.

We loved and highly recommend Hoada Camp. Written 24 July 2023 - they really did a great job updating the place.

No wifi, no electricity at the camp site bit youcan charge at the office. Reception is good at the pool/sunset bar.

Most certainly a very nice and convenient campsite. Lots of space from campsites. Flush toilets and a donkey for showers. We stayed two nights, the donkey fired up failed to provide hot water and on both evenings we let the shower run for more than 5 minutes before not even luke warm water came out. Also water pipes were exposed at places above the ground at the camp area and were leaking. The tiny pool is knee deep with several chlorine tablets at the bottom. The water is stagnant as the petrol pump right next to the pool was not working. Material on the two sunbeams were tattered and falling apart. Bottom line is, price per person per night was N$300.00! Personally I found this to be way over the top, N$600.00 per night for the two of us! Not again. Staff were very helpful and we brought our concerns to their attention.

A lovely private pitch with its own ablutions, sun shade, kitchen , braai. Very beautiful surroundings, and definitely worth scrambling up one of the koppies at sunset to watch the sun setting under wet season storm clouds. Great little plunge pool. The check in process was a bit lengthy (!) and I still can’t believe we were asked to sign a disclaimer - the first time ever in the whole of Africa…..

Would definitely come back

Lovely campsite, wonderful rock pool and bar up in the rocks. Super clean and well maintained. Great facilities. Campsite 1 is very nice with showers and toilet hidden in between boulders. Would come back anytime!

As others have said, this is a lovely setting amongst the granite rocks, and some efforts have been made to nestle each campsite by its own rock and provide shade, but we didn't think it was worth the price given the quality of the campsites we have seen in the rest of Namibia. Sadly, the pool wasn't in a good state either, but this is understandable given chronic water shortages. Staff were welcoming and you can sense they have really felt the loss of income during COVID

Great Camp with superb sunset spots on the boulders around the bar.
Unfortunately there is no food served but you can buy meat as well as drinks at the bar.
Campsites themselves leave no wishes open, warm showers, toilets, own cooking areas & good shade for tents. Staff was also very friendly.
All in all highly recommend!

Really nice campsite, with private and very clean ablutions.
On the down side, very pricey (275pp/pn for internationals) and the pool can be regarded as out of order (30cm of very dirty water). Management also made us feel uneasy during the check in.

As all have said before this place is pure bliss. From the outdoor showers in the rocks to the well spaces sites this place is highly recommended.
Sporatic MTC reception

What a fabulous campsite. Totally secluded. #8 has 2 toilets and 4 showers. Ablutions very clean. I love the pool in the rocks. Great use of natural resources. Very recommendable. N$125pppn

What a great place! It has everything overlanders need, nice private outdoor shower and toilet, a kitchen area, fireplace and a shelter for shade. The rooftoptent just fitted underneed the shelter! The only downside is that there is no power or light at the campsite but you can charge your phone at the reception. Water is from the borehole and probably drinkable. There is a small swimming pool between the rocks and a bar with a view. They also offer rhino or elephant tracking tours and a cultural tour. We can highly recommend this place!
