Latest Check-Ins

Most excellent camp. Extremely clean and cared for. Personal touches everywhere. Variety of well-marked and maintained walking trails.
MTB rental possible.
Perfect cool pool.
Honesty-basis very well stocked little shop and bar.
Owners friendly and helpful.
Very good LTE signal from Cell C (apparently also MTN) when no loadshedding.
We paid R500 pn (2 adults) for large river site with private bathroom (donkey boiler is prepared every day for you, just light and shower in 30 mins). No power. Paraffin lamps.
There are also nice sites away from the river for R400.
15 mins from Kruger Pafuri gate.

Beautiful campsite, bit astounded that we paid R500 for 2 adults and a 4yr old vs other people. Good MTN, no Vodacom. Internet with vouchers, 1gb R100 at the pool site. Lovely little shop on premises.

Report Check-In

Beautiful camp with great facilities on the private ablutions -sites. Very fully equipped kitchen. Great donkey shower. We were one night on Mufanda with a nice river view on our way to Kruger. The only downside is that the sites are very close to each other, so you can hear your neighbor all the time, and if you have a big family or noisy people, it’ll ruin the spot a bit. Good tasting, potable water from every tap, which was a definite plus.

What a gem. Really beautiful camp site
Different sizes and different amenities at each site so check in advance - we stayed at Mutale Camp - probably big enough for 4 x off road caravans
Ablutions well kept and donkey geyser a winner
R385 per night for 2 adults and 2x kids (8yr and 6yr)
Good shop, pool and bar
Wish we stayed longer

Awesome bushcamp on the Pafuri River, near the Pafuri gate, with Kruger National Park on the opposite bank. Rustic, shady campsites with beautiful private ablutions. Self-help bar and swimming pool a short walk away. Wifi at reception and bar. No 220V electricity. Walks along the river and in the bush for game viewing.

Absolutely beautiful and picturesque. Private ablution and kitchen, swimming pool and views into the river. A must for anyone travelling in the region!!! One of our best after 6 months travelling throughout South Africa during lockdown. You’ll love it!!!

One of the most beautiful and best equipped campgrounds in South Africa, with own kitchen, toilet and shower. Is wonderful on the river and has shade. Very friendly and helpful owners. Can highly recommend this camp.

Best camping ever !
Owners are lovely, trying to do their best.
Lovely town too, the first we felt safe and welcome. Everyone is waving and smiling. Only the road is a bit painful for a small car but we made it!
The campsites have their own outside shower which is really nice and cosy. They have their own indoor kitchen and toilets too. Petrol lamps, no electricity. Close to a river, 15mn from Pafuri, 300Rp2pn.
Would have stayed longer if we had more time ! Thank you so much guys for what you’re doing !

This is one of the best and cleanest camps we have been at. The hosts are fabulous and work very hard to keep things clean and neat. I cannot recommend this site high enough. 15min from Pafuri Kruger park gate and right next to the river. Fully equipped kitchen, very clean flushing toilets and the best bush shower you will come across. Make a point to check this place out it is amazing.

Absolute gem! Beautiful shady campsite with your own private kitchen stocked with all the utensils you can think of, amazing outdoor shower and lovely firepit. We stayed here for 2 nights. The attention to detail is superb and it’s nice to arrive at a place where campers/campsites are not neglected. Lots of short hiking trails , and close to Pafuri gate. Great hosts and will definitely visit again!

I spent a night over the Easter weekend at Nthakeni with my family and friends. Kobus and Annalize are warm and attentive hosts. Their camp is one if the best I have seen in the Pafuri area. Their attention to detail is overwhelming. The campsites and chalets are very well equipped. Outside showers are a treat to use. The views of the Mutale river are fantastic and the whole atmosphere of the camp is great. They have really worked hard to make this an exceptional camping and overnight spot. I recommend it for anyone visiting the Pafuri area or on their way to and from the Pafuri (Northern-most) Gate of Kruger.
