Description

Great campsite with lots of spots and killer views. Clean pit toilets, fire pits, and picnic tables. Close to great hikes like the Ring Loop and the Hole-in-the-wall visitor center. Stayed during government shutdown so don’t know the price. Some Verizon coverage.

Site #30 was level left to right and a pull through spot so setting up was easy. Great AT&T signal. $12 per night regular price or half off with parks pass.

Report Check-In

Great campground with access to hiking. Only a handful of campers when we stayed in Feb.

Report Check-In

Dry camping on US Forest Service Land. Great views, hiking. In a 34 ft class A

Report Check-In

Lots of spots available for any size RV. Some pull through, some back in. Fee is $12 per night. Potable water and dump station. Hiking trails for all but watch out for rattlesnakes. We had one within 6 feet of our door this morning.

Report Check-In

We stayed in Site #10 -near pit toilet. Site had picnic table and a fire ring. Better cell reception than last time we stayed when we were closer to the nearby rockface. Generator hours are 7a - 7p, and was strictly adhered to by our fellow campers. Okay amount of space between sites. Gravel pads, mostly level except for one site that had a big erosion rut. AT&T - 75.3 mb down, 1.85 up, Verizon 23.8 down 0.16 up. Pretty consistent over the three days/two nights we were there.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot lots of flat and level spaces, picnic table, and fire pits, 12 dollars a night, pit toilets, water, garbage and a dump site for black water. Stayed for 2 days during the weekday was very quite and peaceful near a few hiking trails. Great spot would come back again.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campground with some nice trails. Not much privacy between spots and people running their generators make this peaceful place loud. But otherwise it is a gem. $12 / night. Google maps navigation is broken near this place. Use Apple Maps.

Nice campground in Mojave with very fun hiking close by. Don't miss out on the "ring trail".
FYI -Really watch how Google tries to bring you in here. We were traveling East on I-40 and it tried to take us 35 minutes out of our way and down a dirt road rather than the perfectly good paved one. I caught it in time but I don't always look that close.

Report Check-In

Incredibly nice spot. Not many campers for a Friday night. Great hiking the Ring. Easy access from 40. Intermittent ATT but usable. Water at the dump station turned off but all the taps in the campsite work and have proper hose fittings. One very brave coyote patrolling the site. Keep an eye on small pets. We paid $6 with our Senior pass. Otherwise $12.

Report Check-In

Previous comments still correct. Sewer dump, water, dumpster, ATT cell signal. Windy and cold on this visit. Flat terraced sites, back in and some pull through. $12/night, $6 with geezer pass. Visitor center open Fri-Mon. Great views, cactus, rocks, desert. Very cool.

nice paved road coming in from interstate 40. coming from Vegas on interstate 15, Google will have you drive through 20 miles of washboard dirt roads. do your self a favor and enter from i40!!!

beautiful campground, dump, water, garbage. walking distance to rings trail and a larger 6 mile loop which also ends with the rings!

very relaxing campground, highly recommend!

Report Check-In

Really nice camping, with great views and hiking nearby. Would come back for sure!

Report Check-In

Lots of spots, many of them pull-through. Amazing views. Many spots were open on a Thursday at 2pm, but many more campers arrived before sunset.

The wind can kick up in the evening, so be prepared.

Report Check-In

Definitely not closed. 30+ sites. Most very level. Maybe 10 pull through. Generators off 7p to 7a. (Almost none our two nights) 2 tent only at the top. Great views. Two hikes from the campground one about 6 miles and one about two miles with walk from campsite. Short hike ends at short slot canyons with rings. Pit toilets clean. No rinse water at dump station but there is fresh water at multiple locations but most without hose bib. 12$/night (6 with senior park service card). Stayed a second night cuz we liked it so much. Very strong sun. Ten open sites Friday night at 730; maybe bc of marked closed?

Report Check-In

Nice, quiet campground. Road is rough but we managed in a high roof transit. Water pressure is low in winter so we had trouble filling the whole tank. Pit toilets are clean.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for second time. Great hiking trail!! Clean, big spaces and cheap

Report Check-In

Spent two nights here, great campsite and still $6 for pass holders. Great local walks.
No fuel or grocery in park so stock up before.
