I stayed there serval nights in my tent. It’s 5000 CFA / night. There is a kitchen and good sanitary. Inside there a fans everywhere.
In the yard there is absolutely no shade. Next to your tent there will be lights with motion detectors. While I was there, they were building a bar, so it was really loud all the day long and even in the nights. The wifi is not the best. Sometimes it was quieter useable, sometimes you didn’t even were able to google something. But you’ll have 3/4 bars of 3G connection with an Orange SIM-Card.

nice place to stay and discover Bissau or the Island. you can leave your bicycle there for a few days

Report Check-In

There was music (only Fr&Sat), but it’s a cool place to meet locals and dance. We stayed nearly 2 weeks and enjoyed it.
Internet is not the best, but it’s the best place in Bissau to hook up with other travelers.
They do very nice breakfast with bread, eggs, a local specialty (every day different), but no coffee 😂 Nevertheless it’s a good start into the day.

Dorm bed 800
Private room with bathroom: 15.000
Laundry: 3000
Breakfast: 2500

Cheap place to stay. 8000 dorm 10000/15000 single/double. Big courtyard to park many vehicles. There is a stage too but no music while I was there. Owner is very friendly, speaks good English. He Has a Yamaha 600 too.

Same as below- super sweet and helpful owner, nice staff, decent facilities. October isn't high season for tourism but everyone I did meet in the country I met here at this hostel. Dorm 8,000 CFA per night. To be considered: hostel does not have a generator so when power and water go out (which is often) you are out of luck until they come back on.

Very beautiful place, owner very helpful he kept the bike for 4 days the time a went to the islands

Report Check-In

Perfect place to meet others in a nice atmosphere!
Clean kitchen and bathroom, yard to sit outside (and safely park motorbikes and 4x4), WiFi, fridge with cold drinks, close to the center of town (and little shop), nice owner (Yannik) who owns a motorbike as well.
Bring your own mosquito net as all beds have them. Dorm or en-suite.
I think dorm is 9€ and an en-suite double is 23€.
Closed during the rainy season!

Really cool place. Super friendly and helpful English speaking rasta owner. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. There is a bar and and great coffee. All in all the perfect place with a super chill vibe.

Fantastic spot for accommodation, food and drink. The owner, a Rasta man called Nik, will be one of the kindest people you meet on your trip. He usually has rooms available but he was renovating them all when I arrived as there was so few guests. He let me camp in his garden for almost nothing. You will have a great time there. I highly recommend gorilla, they have everything you need and if they dont have it, they will help you above and beyond what you expect!

We tried to camp at Belinca wich is next to the gorila hostel. At belinca there was nobody for a while . Gorila hostel let us sleep in their backyard in our rooftent. The guys were very friendly, cool and helpful. But it was way to pricy. We payed more than 15.000 cfa/day for three people in the tent. We had acces to the very small toilet and shower of the restaurant. They also wanted 5000 cfa a day for the parked car while we were at the Bijagos without telling us the price before.
All in all a nice spot but way to expensive.

Now this place has an area available for camping !

Clean and spacious rooms with toilets and showers, 10.000CFA, very friendly owner, there is a restaurant downstairs, look for Gorila Electronics - no other signs for the guesthouse - and it's in the same building. It's about 10mins walk to downtown or a 300CFA taxi ride. Bars in restaurants plenty on the street down to the centre.

An up and coming little hostel. Right now there are a couple rooms with a bathroom. A room is 10,000 a night. There is secure parking and a security guard. Yanik Spencer is part of the local motorcycle club and the members have made the bar downstairs their local hangout. You will be hard pressed to find a friendlier place to stay in Bissau. Good info to be found for all your travels in Bissau.
WhatsApp: +245 966100100 if you are interested.
There isn't a sign up yet but look for the Gorilla Electrónica it's a business Yanik runs right nextdoor.
