Beach car park | Informal Campsite

This parking lot is in the process of being commercialized. Nice brand new buildings, boardwalk, picnic areas and possibly an expansion to the old campground or a new separate one. Signs say no acampar y no fuegos. A Chilean family in their van also stopped for the night and convinced the guy closing the gate at 9 to let us both sleep in our vans overnight. Not sure we would have been successful in getting his ok on our own. Excellent day use spot, but might not work for overnight much longer. Locked gate now on beach road to the south too.

Good place to stop for the night if you don‘t want to take a long detour. The friendly dogs are still there.

next to the road, but the ocean is louder.
very calm.
it is possible to drive a little dirtroad further South and set camp there.

It's possible to drive the sandy street along the beach. Here you can spend the night and day without noise from the street (just waves).

Really recommend!

Good spot as mentioned for stop on way to La Serena. Sweet Dog still here - appreciated dog biscuits for dinner and breakfast. Walked to fishing village - mostly closed and no food for sale but photogenic.

Perfect to spend a night if we're passing through. Route fairly circulating by the trucks at night, but the landscape across the ocean is too beautiful.

Parfait pour y passer une nuit si on est de passage. Route assez circulée par les camions la nuit mais le paysage en face de l'océan est trop beau.

The noise of the Waves is Hiding the noise from the hi-way as to often a lot of garbage shocking for a country as chile to have so much garbage everywhere .

Square of dirt carpark just off the motorway.
10m to the beach, great views.

No facilities but free, friendly dogs when we camped.
