Rest Stop I-40 | Informal Campsite

Great stop! Quite a few semis but there is a gravel area to the right and I was only one there. Besides the semis, I heard crickets and coyote! No Highway noise. I overslept it was so good! No facilities.

There is a great little treed area off the main road with two picnic tables. Staying there in our minivan was like camping in a state park - little noise and all to ourselves, even though semi traffic came in regularly on the main road.

Looks to be pretty decent, however there weren’t porta potties like someone had stated. I decided to push on and not stay overnight because of that.

Good cell signal, and a couple stray cats were roaming around. Started filling up with semi’s around 7p

large parking area where you can level easily. Even a couple shaded areas. no facilities other than trash. Not a lot of noise. 4 bars of Verizon.

Rest stop with large wood area in the center with dirt roads that provide shade and great cover. Very comfortable to take a rest during the day or night

Very large parking area and 2 porta-potties. Well off the highway so minimal noise. 4 bars of Verizon “Extended Network LTE”.

Rest stop on I-40 East. No facilities. Plenty of parking.
