Really fantastic experience, thoroughly worth the effort to get here! Juan was a wonderful guide, really attentive and knowledgeable. Our two young kids loved everything, so much to see and learn. There are an enormous amount of fossils to see, and amazing to literally see where they have some from. Athena seeing how they are analysed and studied also is a unique added benefit.

If you want you can even stay for a few nights and actually do digging with the chance to find real fossils!!

We came here on a Tuesday without asking beforehand due to the lack of internet.
They were ready for a tour within minutes.
Lot of things to see and learn. They are doing a really great job!
Sad how hard this “business” is but great what Jorge Calvo founded and what all the scientists are still working on.
Our daughter got a Dino Passport in which she can collect stamps from all the Dino museums in the region of Neuquén. She was happy, actually she isn’t really interested in dinos but she got a good idea of their work, fossils and the changing world/environment.

IMPERDÍVEL:
Lugar simplesmente sensacional. Uma
imersao nos trabalhos de paleontólogos e no trabalho para descoberta da história dos dinos na Patagônia. Nos sentimos abraçados pela equipe. Uma experiência para o resto da vida

we were there for a tour on the morning. We have basic knowledge of paleontology and we learnt so much. It s amazing to be in the heart of a place of excavation and the guide was very didactic and made us feel like little paleontologists for a few hours. Our three kids then asked for the right to clean up some fossils themselves and they were allowed to because archeologists themselves. Great adventure, definitely to recommend!

great spot, although we are not dinosaurs freaks we really enjoyed this place and spent more than 4 hours here. Definitely worth it, great people. cost are now 2000 Pesos pP (10 USD) for a private tour. And good investment for both. You can support this place, because they don't get any money from the government.

The place is still open and worth a visit. We recommend contacting 1-2 days in advance to make sure someone is on site. Price is now 1.800 Pesos. We found it reasonable. Good place, great people.

Very interesting 3hours private tour with a friendly paléontologue. We learn so many things!!! They need support of tourisme after long month of pandémie and it really worth the price. We were with out 4 year old boy, who enjoy thé visit too.

Probably one if the best tours we ever had! Highly recommended! You don’t need prior knowledge. We did the „be a paleontologist for one day“-tour, available in english and spanish. You should contact them a few days in advance, e.g. by facebook.

Our guide Gabriel showed us the site and the museum in the morning. He gave us tons of information and answered all our questions in brilliant english. After a wonderful homemade lunch with the whole team, Gabriel and his colleague Federico took us to an excavation site where we could search for fossils ourselfes, of course under professional instruction and again with great explanations from both of them. We forgot the time completely, it was so interesting!

After that they showed us more sites with amazing fossils and offered us a snack before we left extremely happy, amazed and thankful for getting the chance to visit such a unique place and learn so much in just one day!

Thank you endlessly Gabriel and Federico and team for that unforgettable day! Please continue your awesome work and keep your passionate spirit!

New photos from the site. You may visit the place with a guide or stay one day or two day one night.

Wow! We had an amazing 2.5 hours visit with a great paleontologist! We sent an email a couple of days in advance to [email protected] to make sure that someone would be available to give us a tour. You actually don't need to do it as tours run every day at 10 am and 3 pm.
The cost is 600 AR pp and it's used to finance the site and the researches as the site is 100% privately funded.
We discovered so much about dinosaurs!
The tour is in Spanish only but they have introduction videos in French and English and the guys do their best to make sure you understand.
Highly recommended :)

Amazing visit and amazing place. We had a 3 hours tour (just the 2 of us). The guide is a paleonthologist and is really excited to show you everything and explain every detail about the geology of the place. It was a field visit and we were on the excavation sites, where we could see in-progress works, still partially buried bones and petrified tree roots. Also we visited the laboratory where they clean and study the fossiles. In the end, we visited the museum, where you can see many of the original fossiles and you can even hold some of them, including carnivore teeth, eggs, etc.
Foreigner price is 500 pesos per person.
Two tours per day: 10h and 17h. No reservation needed.
There is also a day tour where you can participate on the excavation process (check on their website to see prices and reservation). Looks cool too.
Really worth the money, and it incentivates the development of the project. They currently don’t have government support, nor any other kind of incomes. Their studies come from the entrance tickets and a few rare private companies support.

the price is 500 ARS p.P. - to expansive !! - not worth to visit, because the road is a bad, bad ripio and when you go to the museo in El Chocon you pay 50 ARS p.P. , the people are nice and you can also see, how they work. We are really interested in Paleontology, but the arrogant guy at Dinoproyect makes that we left.

Stay on the graveyard of animals who have lived 90Mil jears before, see their footsteps, hold one of their eggs - or a giant yaw with teeth in your hand. You receive a perfect lesson in the subject (on the next stop, I checked the ground whether I could find other Dino remains). A mysterious place, realy worth a visit (la vida tiene otro via, aqua). The road, only the last part is gravel, was well maintained.
