Description

The caretaker at the boat launch informed us that we could not overnight in the boat launch parking lot and redirected us here. It is pretty open field that is used for overflow parking. You can see the river from the lot. We got a nice view of the sunset as well. At the end of the field is a water treatment facility. It made a slight humming sound but wasn’t loud enough to make it bothersome. No WiFi but our phones were able to pick up cellular data just fine. Good Verizon reception. No toilet here but the boat launch has one. It was locked when we were there. Maybe it is seasonal.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed without issue. Felt very exposed being so open to town.

Report Check-In

We spent one night here. Very quiet and peaceful about 30 min from Tal. No disturbances. The water treatment center does hum but it’s very low.

Report Check-In

Open grass field. Could hear the music from nearby Riverside Cafe (Friday night) but it wasn’t obnoxious. Very quiet at night. Field was slightly soft where I parked. No problem getting out, however

Report Check-In

Parked here last night around sunset. Shortly after dark I heard a voice near the back of the van reading off my plate number and figured it was a cop who would ask me to move. I waited for the knock but then they pulled the back door handles on the van a few times trying to open the door. No knock. Then they left. So you better believe I left too! They didn’t tell me to leave but scared me too much to stay!
