Description

This is the entrance to the state forest. The Point Washington State Forest pinned site can be found down this road. The coordinates for that pin took us to a dead end residential street. The road into the camp is all dirt. We were unable to make it all the way to the camp spot because of the puddles but found a spot on the side of the road that worked just fine. Free, quiet, beautiful.

Didn’t stay at the exact spot marked, more like just pulled off the side of the forest road but had a good night stay. Only a few cars drove by and a jogger in the morning. Nice humid forest to wake up in. Would only stay one night here and not repeat.

This spot was so peaceful and beautiful, woke up to a beautiful sunrise & a buck! Didn’t see any other campers, a couple hikers on the trails in the morning. Only 5 minutes from the white sand beaches & shops of seagrove. Would recommend

We stayed here one night. At first I felt weird but we slept very nicely and with the rain throughout the night felt great. For sure will come back

We took the main entrance and park along the road. Stayed here 2 nights (12/24-12/26) and saw some locals driving by and running/walking. A sheriff woke us before 6 am and asked us to leave. He said we needed a permit that is issued for $28 annually or we needed to drive further to a designated campground. He also mentioned he saw us the day before. We would suggest not over staying or just driving further to the campsite, we didn’t think there was something else further away.

Nice spot for a night in the forest. Very quiet, peaceful and pretty.

Pinned spot was a little tricky for us to find.
Here’s some directions: We took this entrance, drove until the road splits in 3, take the left road, and the spot is ahead on your right. It’s a little pull off between 2 roads. There is a bench and trails nearby.

Would have stayed longer if we could have made a campfire. Didn’t feel like the appropriate setting for one.

We are in a 22 foot campervan, 2w drive.
