Lamimos Lodge | Informal Campsite

Nice camping site without electricity. Lodge directly next to the road to Tete. You can hear the trucks passing by. For us OK. They open one room to use the toilet and shower. Camping 750 MZN (12 USD) for 2 people. Room with 2 bedroom & kitchen (fridge/stove/sink) for 2200 MZN (35 USD), rooms need some refurbishment. Very friendly.

we had a nice stay before heading to Tete. we arrived late and got a room for shower and toilette and had a lot of space to camp. we paid 750 M for 2 for camping. also had a lovely chat with the owner who speaks very good german.

As described. William and his Staff were very friendly and forthcoming. We arrived late and they helped us get set up and get a hot shower.

Stayed here before crossing to Zimbabwe. 750 Meticais for 2 people, camping area is pleasant enough for a night near some trees. They opened a chalet for hot showers. You can really hear trucs passing on the road nearby. Fair enough for the price. Great Vodacom 4G coverage.

Place is still open. 750 Metical for camping & 2 persons. Toilets at the restaurant. Working but no Toilette paper and a bit run down same for the Ablutionblock next to the large pool. Friendly staff. Suitable for a night before you drive to Tete or coming from Tete since the backpacker campsite in Chimoio is marked as closed.

As described. We paid 750 altogether and used the ablutions. Hot water was provided in a bucket.
The road is right next to the lodge so expect trucks passing frequently. Still a perfect stopover for one night.

Perfect stopover for one night considering that there is very little (to none) options in Chimoio. Perfect wide open space behind bar / restaurant (big rig friendly). There was a party at the bar but the noise faded early and did not bother us at all. The cold 2M was a nice bonus! They charged us Mt650 (per vehicle) which was still a good bargain for us. Did not use the offered ablutions. Time to get out and camp post COVID!!!!

Lodge which allows camping in the garden and use of chalet for toilet and shower.

Good stopover in Chimoio with bar and restaurant and WiFi - the owner was also very friendly and helpful.

Chalets for ablutions were pretty dirty - you wouldn’t want to spend longer than you needed to here!

Price is still MZN 600 per party / total campsite. Good stopover from /to Zimbabwe or Malawi /Tete.
William and his wife speak English and German (they spent some years in Germany in the 1980's)

Lodge on way to Chimoio. William the owner let me camp in the garden under new shady trees and use ablutions in one of the cottages for 600M for a night. Ablutions a bit dated but clean and hot water for shower and dishwashing. Near to road so some early morning truck noise but not too bad. Bar and restaurant and pool on site. Cottages look clean and there is a childrens play area and pool table too. safe and secure. Good for a stop over if you don't want to stay in town.
