Description

There are 3 beach access points that allow free parking & camping on the beach in Freeport. We enjoyed a night here in our Sprinter under absolutely incredible stars. There was a big fifth wheel nearby as well. There are no amenities so pack everything out to keep the beach clean.

As described. But after about 10 days, the tide was coming almost up to the dunes and my RV.
Weather was nice, but very humid. Tons of huge mosquitoes. I got bit on every part of my body.
Unbelievable the amount of people that leave trash on the beach!

Still a good place to stop for one night or two. Still cold in February because of the North winds. There are garbage cans (no cover) at the entrance. Use it please.
Encore un bon endroit pour dormir une nuit ou deux. Encore froid en février avec le vent du Nord. 4 degrés C ce matin. Il y a des poubelles bleues sans couvercles à l'entrée. Utilisez-les svp

Exactly as described: free, large drivable beach. Unbelievably clean, no trash. There are receptacles for household trash. Please do not dump large items. When you drive in, there is a sign saying one-way to the left to prevent people from parking in front of residences to the right which is very respectful. Very hard surface, not many soft spots. Not a “beautiful’ beach as far as beautiful, white sand but it is next to the water and that is beauty alone. The stars sing at night and it is dark and the only sound is wave music. Nice job, fellow road people, on keeping this place clean and special! If you are a beach walker, may I suggest taking a bag with you and pick up random pieces of trash? I do!

Had a wonderful stay by the beach. We didn't go in the water due to being sunburnt from the day before.
Still plenty of space for our promaster van even getting in after 9pm.

Amazing spot to camp. In my 2WD Sprinter no issues at all on the hard pack sand. Most people were going left at the entrance so I went right. Nobody within 200 feet, at least. I was right across from the antenna tower on the road. Beautiful, quiet and windy. Quick tip - seems the wind always comes from the north end of the beach so point the vehicle towards it. Of course if the wind shifts, same rules of physics apply.

Great beach for camping in the van or RV. No hook up or dumps or trash can. But lots of beach front. Only a few other people out here.

50 feet of hard packed sand...ideal. Three miles of beach shared by 5 other campers.

3 plus miles of beach shared by 5 other campers. Not a bad ratio. 50 feet of hard packed sand ideal
