Nice pueblo, with welcoming and friendly people, you can stay at the las palmas falls, but here you can see the local kids playing at the plaza. Talk to locals and have a nice fell of people that lives here.

Great place to stay. Like everyone suggested friendly and quiet place. Quiet a few people stopped and welcomed us. It got quiet after 8:00 pm. Nice was very peaceful. Also, drove to the waterfall but preferred thus place Waterfall was just tricking water as it is dry season on Panama right now.
There are two groceries store which are readily accessible and fully stocked.
There are water faucets around park but there was no water. One gentleman told me faucet by municipal building should have water running. I did not check.

Report Check-InQuiet and calm central plaza to sleep! We were at the waterfall, driving it is just 5 min away, we wanted to sleep over there but we asked to 2 police officers who was passing by and they said it would be alright BUT would be better if we sleep here on the plaza, since it gets really dark, it’s a isolated place and who knows what might happen! One guy from Panama who was there said the same, so we came to the plaza, JUST IN CASE and it was really calm and quiet even on a Sunday!
Also, there is a tap here to fill up your water tank, groceries near by and even a small restaurante who sells burger with fries for $3!
Stayed here one night. We could have stayed at the waterfall, it felt safe there, but preferred here because we needed 4g signal to work. There was also another overlander staying at this square. Quiet and safe.
