Can’t say much about the camp itself. We stayed for one night only. Just getting in was a bit weird. When we arrived at the boom at around 5 they said it's R180 pppn. Then they wanted to charge us 260 for 2 adults. We are 2 adults and 2 small kids. So I guess they should have charged 360 but got it wrong. Then they wanted us to pay in cash right away. I gave them 300 but they said they don't have change so I offered them 250. We ended up paying 200 without receipt. Is that a bribe? I hope not.

Report Check-In

Very expensive at R450 for what it was, felt like we were being ripped off but could not dispute costs further. extremely basic, ablutions are very old and dark.
only upside are the walks outside the camp to the beach (10-15min), nice boardwalk and scenery outside the camp - definitely not inside

Report Check-In

Classic KZN campsite. Lots of shady campsites (largely empty), quite utilitarian but clean ablutions, feels safe - but nothing to write home about! The boardwalk was shut due to high water, which was a shame. Feels quite far away from the main strip

Report Check-In

Large quite Camp, no walk to the beach possible, to much water and crokodiles, ablution old but working. 120 p. P.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 3 nights. Large campsite with campsites where you can literally hide. Ablutionblocks are old but working. Good security. Beware of the cute apes that might steal everything! We saw a Gaboon Viper as well hence walk carefully. Unfortunately a bit to far away to walk into the town. The beach is nearby though.

Report Check-In

Big campsite with probably 100 spots. Only a few were in use. Due to a power outage there was no water in the morning. There is electricity close to the sites.
The swimmingpool is at the end of the campsite (not close to the sites which are in use).

We paid only ZAR240 for two adults and two children (children were free).

Report Check-In

Campsites good, but there were only 5 other campers. Very windy, we couldn't walk to the beach.
Low maintenance, ablutions okay, hot water.
Electricity at campsites was not working, no water on taps

St. Lucia is a nice small town, good restaurants, shops

We paid 120 Rand ppn.

Report Check-In

Ezemvelo campsite so maintenance is very basic and ablutions so-so. Despite this it is a great place to stay to discover the area. Close to St Lucia village with lots of restaurants and shops and within walking distance to beach. Two entrances into Isimangaliso Wetland Parks, East and West. East will take you all the way down to Cape Vidal. Plenty birdlife and animals in the reserve with beautiful viewpoints. There is a charge to enter the parks per day, R51 pp plus R61 per vehicle. If you are planning on visiting other reserves in KZN it might be an idea to look at buying a Rhino card, available at the reserve entrance offices.

Report Check-In

Plenty of campsites and not many people. R110 per person. Swimming pool bath water temperature and need a clean. Water shortage so not full either. Plenty of shade. Ablutions ok. Not too bad but wont return. Town is nice and about 20 minute walk away.

Report Check-In

Huge grassy campsite with lots of shade. Unfortunately we were the only ones on the campsite, so strange vibe. We saw the potential though. We paid straight to the guys at the gate, no reception, but we got a receipt.

We are here in SA holiday time. Paying 390 for 2 per day. Absolutely nice, we recommend this place! You have the lovely beach close by and you camp on lown with in an gigantic lovely garden. Ample things to do in town and on the beach. We will stay a few days longer.

Report Check-In

nice grassy campsite, 220R p2ppn. nice walk to the estuary beach

Report Check-In

Nice Site close to the sea. Ablutions really ok.
Restaurant close by (St Lucia Ski Boat Club. Nice place)
390 Rand per night for two of us

Report Check-In

As stated below, we paid R220 for two people at the gate. large grassy and secluded areas, ablutions okayish, over all very good. We walked down the boardwalk to the extensive and beautiful beach. all good.

Report Check-In

We arrived yesterday Friday afternoon. At the gate we were told that the office was closed but we could pay the R220 for two persons. Huge camping and lots of empty pitches. We had no problem to connect to power. Ablutions are ok but could need some maintenance. Hot water for showers and dish washing. Taps at pitches had no water. No much light when dark.

Report Check-In

Nice spacious camp with lots of shady spots. Looks very well maintained as it seems they cut/mow the grass meticulously every day. Unfortunately maintenance doesn’t seem to extent to the facilities. Several braais in a poor state and the ablution blocks not the most pleasant or cleanest. Not surprising being at a wetland site, the mosquitoes are horrendous- especially inside the ablution blocks! Quite expensive for what you get R220 per night for two people and a vehicle.

Report Check-In

About 100 places, very nice spreaded in the wood, some sunny, some shady. The braai places not all in good shape. Good ablutions, small pool. On a long boardwalk you can reach the beach and the lagoon.
Directly at the entrance is the Ski Boat Club where you can eat and drink very well for small money.
We paid 250.-R two persons.

Report Check-In

overpriced!! they asked us 440 for 2 people, we didn't stay!!!

Report Check-In

Unexpectedly great campsite. Sure enough, the ablutions need renovation and most pitches lack a braaistand but there are 92 pitches to choose from and a lot of them are very secluded. Very un-South African! I tried a few power plugs and they all worked but most of them are falling apart. Still 110 rand pppn. Reception is about 1 km before the actual campsite, at the KZN Wildlife office.
Lots of animals on the campsite: monkeys, duikers, guinea fowl, mongooses, etc.

Report Check-In

Large campground, 80+ sites, all with braai, water and power (didn't work at some spots, tested 68-70: not working). ablutions a bit old but OK. security walking rounds. R110 pppn, book/pay at kzn office further down the road (Hornbill St)!

Report Check-In

Huge camp with more than 80 sites. Enough space to choose a suitable one ;-) Each site has water (all day), electricity and braai. Ablutions are old but ok. R 300 per site/night
