Talek gate | Tourist Attraction

We came from Oloololo campsite to a Aruba mara camp. Since we needed petrol we went out of Oloololo gate to a petrol station on C13 and then entered again at Musiara gate in the north. From here it's a nice 30 km ride to Talek (take the left road coming from the Musiara gate, right road was very slippery after rains). You can also drive through the park going south but then it's 100 km since you can only cross mara river through the new mara bridge all the way at the Tanzanian border.

Note, mara triangle is very very beautiful! Landscape is a must see going to Maasai Mara. Spent at least one day there.

The next day we then got a free transit permit for 2 hours so we could go to another gate.
Park is absolutely amazing!!! So many animals to see.

You can get a transit ticket to drive from one gate to another one. This is free of charge and valid for 2 hours. You can get a transit within the 24hr after your normal ticket has expired. You get them at any gate and at the mara bridge. We took 2 transits, one immediately after our ticket expired and one the next morning after sleeping outside the park.

Overstaying will be fined, which is more expensive than a day ticket.

We transferred from Talek to Sekenani in the morning and saw lion and cheetas.

We took a tranfer through the park from Talek gate to Sekenani gate! They allow you 2 hours for transfer and you will get a ticket for that! I think the transfer to each gate is possible but you have to manage in that time! Overstay will be charged for the whole day!!!
