On Golf Club Drive, between two municipal maintenance yards. That's a spot used by hikers and mountain bikers to access the trails.Very quiet and no parking restriction except for a sign saying to use only one space, so not recommended for big rigs.

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

This location is unsafe due to homeless persons and theft. Also, the police will patrol the area especially if local residents call them due to the earlier mentioned problems. Altogether, it is just a bad scene.

Report Check-In

Street parking ok. A bit noisy from the bus station and facility but overall ok. Some homeless walking by late afternoon but no harm at all. Ok for 1 night

I think the other comments about this spot being unsafe are out of place. There's homeless people and people on drugs talking to themselves at night pretty much everywhere on the west coast, lol. Nothing particularly sinister about this spot. The buses are loud and frequent, and there is noise from the industrial area across the street, so you're sandwiched between two loud places, but this is basically trail parking for mountain bikers. Lots of cars with expensive bikes parked here during the day and a couple of vans at night. From what I gather, although overnight sleeping in vehicles is illegal in all of Santa Cruz, it's not enforced, and this area seems to me like the last place cops would bother you, especially since it's non-residential. There are large RV's permanently parked right next to "no parking midnight to 6am" signs on some of the main streets in the city, so I don't expect this place to draw much attention.

If you can deal with the noise, you'll be fine for a night. Also there's okay Verizon service.

We stayed at this spot on a Sunday night. We parked at 10:00pm. There were other people sleeping in cars. There was a couple outside their car for a while talking and walking up and down the street. I think they were on drugs. No one bothered us and we left early in the morning l.

Didn’t feel safe in that area. There is a parking lot for buses right next to it - very noisy. We left and parked in a residential area closer to the beach without any problems. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Okay for one night, AT&T signal, next to Henry Cowoll Redwoods State Park
