Developed campground in the bayou. Fire pits, picnic tables, and pit toilets. About 20 level sites. Next to a hiking trail that goes through the bayou. Flash floods and alligators both occur here. Well maintained road provides access.
There are several water taps but I'm not sure if they're potable or not.

Gorgeous established campground in Kisatchie National Forest. Over a dozen campsites, but I'm the only one here on a Monday afternoon. Clean pit toilets, portable water spigots, bear proof trash cans, nice picnic tables and sturdy fire rings at each site. Sits along a stretch of bayou with some hiking trails. Level sites and plenty of downed trees for fire wood. One of the nicest NF campsites I've been to.
Report Check-InGreat spot! I was the only one here. It was sketchy the last 10miles in the middle of the night but very nice and clean. Bathrooms as well
Report Check-InEstablished hunters camp. We were the only ones to camp this night. Perfectly dark and quiet. A couple of hunters came through and stated this is usually a very busy camp during hunting season. Pit toilets, water spigot not sure if potable, but works to wash up a little. We were hoping to see an alligator or two, no such luck.
Report Check-InA little more than a dozen sites with picnic tables and fire rings, plus a group tent site, a day use area and, a boat ramp. There was no cell service but the campground is still free! We had no problem making it in our skoolie. Ranger said water was potable although not all spigots work. Bring bug spray and PLEASE keep our areas clean!
Report Check-InGreat little campground in the forest. Some of the water spigots work, some don’t. Not sure what that’s about. The pit toilets were pretty nasty but what can you do. Only saw one other person here. Would definitely stay again. Also no signs of flooding here despite it raining for the last two days. Oh and there’s a nice hiking trail that follows the water nearby, I’d guess in warmer weather that would be a good way to spot some gators. I did see an armadillo.
Report Check-Inpredominantly used by hunters. gun shots most of the day, quiet at night. will start charging $10 per night Jan 1, 2020.
