Old Route 60 bypass | Wild Camping

camped just north of the pin for a few days. one of the roads to the south/west is much better, while the road in on the north/east would be very not fun. I wouldn't bring anything more than a van up here either way. at&t cell is great where I am at, and there's plenty of room for many vans. but now the bad! I don't think I'll return here, it seems very clear that this is a local OHV party spot given there is trash everywhere, bullet casings everywhere, and the area is pretty torn up. on two of the days someone was firing a gun no more than 100 yards away from me at a lower parking spot. another night someone in a truck blasts up the hill, and parks about 100 feet away from me shining lights all around for a couple hours before leaving. too much strange activity for me in a very short time. it's too bad because the spot is very nice.

Good flat spot next to the old road. Quiet and dark.

Not bad! Very quiet and secluded . Beautiful out here. Only 1 bar on Verizon but using booster I have 3 bars. The road does have a few VERY large ruts. But careful driving gets you around them. I’m in a 2WD 20 ft van. Would not want to take anything larger up here

camped near OP pinpoint, very beautiful and secluded spot. 3 bars of 4g. no need for weboost.

Open area between brush & boulders, seasonal creeks flowing in the area. Easily accessible. Off-roading in the area.
