The pier was washed out two years ago and the park is still closed for repairs. Locals say the police are strict about enforcement. The town is beautiful though, wild deer are everywhere and you can park on nearby streets.

What a great stop, if driving from the southwest it takes at least an hour through very unpopulated areas lots of farm land and wind turbines. There are 6/7 RV spots, the other areas are for cars only. This is a big fishing area . Also a herd of deer populate the Port Mansfield area and are great to watch. Limited T Mobile but good antenna TV
