Beautiful campground right next to Devils Tower, shaded spots with fire pits and picnic tables. No electric hookups but there are bathrooms and water available.
$20 a night, generator use 8am-8pm.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
nice place. came in around 7pm and got last spot so seems to fill up fast w fcfs.
Report Check-Inwas full on a Sunday night middle of summer. we went and 'star gazed' all night instead at a trailhead within the park per someone else's reccos that worked there. two dead end roads near there too that lots of people went down at night and drove back in morning.
Report Check-InGreat little campground. Clean rest rooms. Talked with the campground host for awhile who mentioned Belle Fourche campers were invited to watch Close Encounters at the KOA free of charge. The movie was the icing on the cake after an incredible day of hiking!
Report Check-InBeautiful quiet camp ground, Definitely would fill up on nice weekends, awesome view of devils tower
Report Check-InPark service maintained campground inside Devil's Tower Natl Monument. First come first served only; no reservations. $20/night, no hookups. Sites should accommodate any sized rig. We arrived early afternoon the Friday before Memorial Day, and more than half the sites were empty. Surprisingly, there were open spots available the entire holiday weekend. Beautiful views of the famous monolith in one direction—especially at sunrise—and the river valley in the other. During peak season, camp/park here and hike a mile and a half up to the visitor center and main trails rather than fighting for parking in the visitor center lot. 1-2 bars Verizon, enough to stream video with a cell booster. Note: we had thunderstorms with strong winds and marble-sized hail during afternoons/evenings, so check weather if your setup is sensitive to it.
Report Check-InThis is a very popular campground with its closeness to Devil’s Tower. There are flush toilets, water, no showers, no electricity. It’s by the Belle Fourche River and very scenic. There are trails connecting the campground to the other trails in the monument.
Report Check-Inat 6pm got the last Spot, 20$, go for sunrise, amazing views, quite, free wifi at trading Post near entrance
Report Check-Inpretty awesome spot. pay camp. we got an awesome spot looking at devil's tower. go get ya some.
Report Check-InGreat campground! Lots of trees and great views of DT. If the Sun ☀️ is out at sunrise BE READY!!! $2O a night with 1-2 bars LTE (AT&T)
Report Check-InWe really enjoyed our stay here. 20$ per night. Toilets very clean. No shower though. Water available but not possible to fill up your tank. Very quiet. Sites are big and shaded. The view on the tower is perfect. Very convenient if you want to hike early. The temperature at night was perfect even with a very hot day. Perfect place !
Report Check-InNot much to add other than we were here for a week (we are climbers so plenty of routes to keep us busy) and it did fill up every day. But, between 9-12 every day people were leaving and plenty of options each morning...and this was 4t July wknd.
Report Check-InNice quiet campground. First come first serve, no reservations but no issues finding a spot. Much cheaper than neighboring KOA but no water hose hookup (can fill by bucket though) and no electric or dump station. $20 a night plus NPS entrance fee for Devils Tower.
Report Check-Init's a nice spot if you can get spot B2 you can set up a tent with a clear view of devils tower. I saw some climbers during the day and during the night I could see by their lights they were still at it. wild.
Report Check-InHad such a wonderful stay for just $20! Got in around 2pm with plenty of spots. Great people all around in the campground. Was able to get some peaceful sleep.
Report Check-InAnyway, this is a cool little state run campground, and the only one inside the Monument boundaries. It's called Belle Fourche River Campground. 50 sites. 2 loops, A and B. Campground host on each loop, and they are very active in the park, checking on things and greeting people.. All the sites are pretty big. Pull thru sites, with plenty of space to set up tents, etc. All sites have a picnic table and firepit with grilltop (fire ban is in full effect....signs posted that you will be arrested if you start a fire!) There are dumpsters and vault toilets 🚻 spread throughout. Lots of nice shade trees, but unfortunately they block your views of the tower....and almost totally at some sites....but im sure it can get super hot 🔥some days....so I guess that's the trade off. Sites are spreadout pretty well, but not alot of privacy. Generators ok 8am to 8pm. There are freshwater hand pump wells here too. Cost 20 bucks, plus park entrance fee. Park is about half full and it's first come first served....but don't worry if filled up....plenty of campgrounds outside the park to take your money!....so you won't be stranded. No OTA TV. VZW internet struggled during the day with heavy use clogging up bandwidth. Day was 2 mbps down/ 1 up. Nightime/early morning... 9 mbps down/ 3 up. ATT Consistently slow and pretty much usless. Voice calling ok.
Not much else to do in the area, so this will be a one and done for me and likely most people that visit.....but I think seeing the Devils Tower is bucket list worthy....and this camp makes it a pleasure to help make it happen!
Report Check-InExcellent spot to stay when visiting Devils Tower. Large sites, with good spacing. No fires permitted at the time of our visit. There were 2 camp hosts on site. The female host was friendly and helpful. Her husband, the other host, stated that he doesn’t believe in Covid vaccine, which makes me wonder if there is an unvaccinated (and not mask wearing or social distancing) camp host dealing with large numbers of campers including children.
Report Check-InBeautiful first come first serve campground surrounded by cottonwoods, prairie dogs, red rocks, and a sweeping view of devil’s tower. There is a campground host, $20 a night, generator use 8am-8pm, space for tents, RVs, trailers, anything!
Report Check-InThe campground is OPEN for the season. $20/night $10 with pass. Weak Verizon signal. Site B17 has an unobstructed view of Devils Tower and access to the river. Highly recommend!
Report Check-InAlso worth noting— the KOA plays ‘Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind’ every night @ 8pm out one the deck
Report Check-InCampground is currently closed! The road to the monument is open, a little booth at the entrance, we came close to sunset and there was no fee/attendant taking payment. However, no campgrounds besides the KOA open at the moment underneath the tower.
Report Check-InGreat campground. Almost completely empty both nights I stayed (Tuesday and Wednesday in the summer). Water, flush toilets, no showers. Close to a convenience store, WiFi (both outside park but a mile away), and visitor center. Views of Devils Tower
Report Check-InNice campground with a beautiful view on the devil’s tower. 20$; first-come first-served. At 8:30pm there was a free talk hold by the ranger.
Report Check-InGreat campground. I showed up on Friday of Memorial Day Weekend and there was hardly anyone here. Still $20/night but interagency pass gets you half off.
Report Check-InDry camping, beautiful clear night skyline of Billion and billions of stars with Devils Tower in the background, clean restrooms and good drinking water. No reservations needed
Report Check-InVery nice campground. Quiet. 20 $ per site per night. Restrooms. Water available but you must use holding tank to fill up your rv tanks. No dumpstation. Low ATT reception.
Report Check-InVery neat camp. Nice clean restrooms. Lovely grassy area with views all around.
Report Check-InWonderful views of the Bear Lodge (Devils Tower). Sites now $20/night.
Report Check-InBeautiful campground right next to Devils Tower, shaded Spots with firepits and picnic tables. 12 a night for camping no electric hookups but there are bathrooms and water available.
