Latest Check-Ins

The Ecosurf Camp is now open. They offer accommodation, but from 45 000kz which was way too expensive for us. You can stay at the parking for 1000kz (24hours). We added a picture of the new prices. We had a tent (travelling. by bicycles) and camped for free at the beach after asking to the bar. Very friendly staff, not so crowded (we were there on Monday and Tuesday in June).

Report Check-In

Free parking lot during the week but 1000kz friday, saturday and sunday. Nice and clean beach. No toilets, no shower, no water tap. We were here thursday so totally alone and quiet.

Actually you have to camp at parking place at praja dos surfistas. 1000 kw every vehicle. We were on saturday and it was music and bar-restaurant open. No toilets, no shower. Just park and camp.

The campsite is still not ready, but they have plans to complete it within the next few months. It would however still take a long time before the trees would be big enough to provide enough shade.
In the mean time camping is allowed for free on the beach parking lot, during week days. The bar (and toilets) are only operational over weekends or during surfing events. The beach is beautiful and waves ideal for surfing.
Gonzalo, the manager is very friendly and helpful and speaks English well.

Report Check-In

Not sure who marked this place as closed. We stayed there for 3 nights, met the manager and owner and were greeted very friendly. The bar was closed, maybe it only opens on weekends.

Report Check-In

The bungalows are a bit higher up. It looks very nice but is not open yet. You can camp at the parking lot of the beach bar but it’s not very attractive. There were some turtles nests though, so who knows what you’ll run into!

The Carpe Diem Lodge is in the next bay/beach north. Here they have a restaurant/bar so far, but it was closed because of a massive surfer event, so it was not allowed to camp/park there. But we think it could be very beautiful, when it is quiet. The beach is nice and there are some pitoresk rocks. Try it.

A huge eco project is going to be ready here in few months, possibility to camp, surf, rent bungalows with a beautiful view on the surfers bay, restaurant, barbecues and so on... overlanders-friendly, perfect place at the beach for tents and big rigs.

Awesome beach camping is in parking if you in a big rig otherwise on the beach with a tent. The parking is free but you do need to pay for shady areas on the beach if you in a tent. The bar and surf lessons are open on weekends and holidays. We where here in peak season and there was a great vibe. The owner Paulo also owns Carpe Diem (a couple of Kms up the beach). Paulo welcomes tourists with open arms.
