United States
Free primitive campground ran by the state. Running water is available and fire rings. Great base to stay near the lake (which is run down, quite dirty) with plenty of shade. The rangers also mentioneng Hay's crossing to have free primitive camping a little upper on the west side of the lake.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The place was closed with barriers. Not to see if this is only the case temporarily.
Report Check-InQuiet spot past the busier campgrounds. Vault toilets nearby. Picnic tables and trash. Decent enough. Nothing too special. Parked my Promaster 3500 with ease. Spots can accommodate big rigs.
Report Check-InBathrooms were fine, but this area was very secluded - if I was a single woman, I would not stay in this area.
Otherwise, the area itself was OK. Heard a decent amount of traffic throughout the night. Seems like it would be better to check out the more established, more populated campground down the hill. About the more populated campground: If you are just pulling in for the night, it doesn't look like you would have to pay.
Report Check-InNice spot. Some road noise and plenty of insect noise too. Toilets clean. Nobody else here.
