Free overnight parking next to the entrance to beautiful waterfalls really worth a visit despite the 1h30 of bumpy dirt road to get there from the main coastal road (no need for 4x4 or high clearance, we saw any type of cars passing but there are some seriously steep hills). There are 2 waterfall sites where you can swim, swing from ropes but this one has a small cave where you can enter and see the main waterfall from the inside. The entrance to each waterfall costs 60$ per adult, our kids of 2&4yo didn't pay. The other waterfall site is 5km up the road from the junction and you can stay overnight but have to pay 50$ per adult per night whilst this one is free. Really beautiful place in the jungle where to cool off from the coastal heat. There are all you can eat buffets at this place for 130$ pp. Big rigs will fit on this lot but not sure if they'll climb all hills if heavy..

Report Check-Inback open. 70 pesos per person for the waterfall, which is pretty nice. you can stay overnight. toilets are 5 pesos. completly quiet after 6 pm when all vendors and visitors left. safe place. nice locals.
road going there is ok, but not for big rigs. we are 7m long and 2m wide and it was a tight fit on the narrow road. no option to turn around.
some dips - doable with 2WD just take it slow and only in daylight.
closed because of covid. there is a block post 10 km from highway
Report Check-InGreat place to cool of in the pools of the river. Plenty of ropes to play with. This is about 20 min far from the Cascadas Mágicas
