From the road there is at the left if coming from south a sign that says “dunas“. You follow a dirt track for about 1 km till you reach a door. We payed 2000 cp because further on its a private track dieectly to the beach. The track is in ok condition except forms sandy patch that might be difficult for 2 WD and big rigs.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Dunes de Putu, coming from South the little street is 100 m after the Buggy Tours, there is no sign.
Report Check-InAt the main road you turn to the beach just before (if south bound) a buggy rental/tour location. At the gate we paid 2.000 and continued straight - past the „quarry“ - to the beach.
I would recommend a 4WD.
Yes, you‘ve rubbish around, at the entrance and at the seafront, however we hope the stars and sunset are going to compensate.
Would not recommend this place. You drive past a lot of rubbish and a pile of bones. There is a patch of soft sand that might be difficult to get through anyway. We were so put off by the rubbish and bones that we left again straight away
Report Check-InWe spent the night here. Paid 2000clp and the owner said it was fine camp. It was very quiet and great scenery. However, when we tried to leave in the morning the gate was locked and the owner wasn't around. A farmer, who maybe also lives nearby, told us the owner takes the key with him and wouldn't be back until night. We tried to drive north along the beach to another access road but it wasn't possible in our 2wd L300. Eventually had to lift the gate off it's hinges to get out. So I guess you should be sure to coordinate with the owner.

Its through the dunes about 2km but with pepple stones, no deep sand. we were all allone, very beautiful, no trash. Worth to pay the 2000 cp
