Something not right?

Description

This is the main Nissan service centre for Bolivia.
The head of servicing is Alexis who speaks good English.

We had a full service here and were very impressed, not ridiculously expensive either and pushed us ahead as we weren't in La Paz that long.

Highly recommended

We explained our problem to Alexis and what we thought the issue was, however he was fixated on a radiator clean and charging us US$80 dollars for this service that we knew we didn't need. Alexis is not a mechanic, he is customer service and although he was very nice, he did not make us feel confident that we were being provided the best service. We ended up stumbling across Rolando (see 'Pro-Fix Mecánica - Chaperia' post), who has many years Nissan and Land Rover experience and actually used to work here at Taiyo Motors.. Rolando speaks good English and he provided us a transparent and honest service at a fair price.

Best garage experience ever!! After very muddy traveling through the Pantanal and the dirt roads from san Mathis to la Paz our engine heats up earlier then before. I know about the altitude. Well they cleaned the hole radiator and the other celds like intercooler, transmission etc. we paid 80$ for a hole day of working. But we had to pay just for 4 hours and got a 10% discount aswell. When we picked up our car it was completely cleaned from inside and outside including a professional engine cleaning. Alexis and his team are just awesome. We could sleep at the garage for free and use toilets and wifi. heating is completely gone. Highly recommend!! If you go there sent greetings to Alexis.
