Description

ADMIN NOTE: Place removed because camping is illegal here. Signs posted and enforced

I am a park ranger at San Antonio Missions NHP. Over night parking/camping is not allowed within the boundaries of this park. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset and the actual missions are open between 9-10am closing at 5. The area shown in the photos is for daytime parking only. This is not a secure neighborhood. We enjoy having all visitors here but for your safety and to follow the rules please do not camp here.

To be clear I was the park ranger you made contact with today. You can be ticketed. We prefer to just educate. :)

It is not allowed or even recommended to sleep in the park as the friendly park ranger told me today. You will not be ticketed if you do, but it is not a safe but actually a bad neighborhood. He highly suggested that we not stay he overnight.

I am a park ranger at San Antonio Missions NHP. I apologize for any erroneous information you have received but overnight parking/camping is not allowed within park boundaries. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. I'm afraid new employees or volunteers gave bad information.

Hello
So great place to park your motorhome for the night and day.
We stay here to visit the différent missions and San Antonio.
If you park your motorhome here you can take the bus 40 to visit the missions.
The day pass bus cost 2.75$ for adult and half for children.
And you can take all the bus you need to visit this nice town.
The crew of the national park is friendly.
Near the Rv place you have picnic table and a Pizza Hut.
And it's free.
What else?

As described. We also asked at the Visitor's Center and they said we were fine to overnight in the spots that are marked Bus and RV parking only.

Very nice park with an old mission monument to visit for free. Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Parking lot for buses and RV's. That is the place to camp. No service after 5 pm. A toilet trailer is available on day time. Also a porta pottie Free Wi-Fi. Pic-nic tables and trash/recycle bins. We asked for permission to overnight and Darrell said no problem as if it was his first time.
