Description

Heading north. Nice officers asked if we had fruit. When we listed off all the frutas we had it took him a second to say "bananas y mangos not allowed". Wonder if he was just in the mood for those. So we handed them over and continued on with our piña and papaya still on board.

Northbound.
Agriculture & eggs check. They didn’t take our veggies in frig. Had 1 hard boiled egg but guy said that was ok. I saw fruit laying out that they took from other cars.

Yes, fruit control. We gave over a bag of mixed fruit. They are controlling mainly citrus fruits into Jalisco. Very nice officials. No issues. Fruit will be destroyed.

Tried to shake us down for 100 pesos. We didn't understand what that would be for, after staring at each other for a couple of seconds the guy asked whether we had any fruits. We said no and we could continue.

Northbound only. Friendly. Asked in Spanish if we had any fruit. We said no. Peeked in our back windows but didn’t ask to look in our camper.

They took our limes and apples but let us keep our bananas. They said they need to take “all citrus”. Went quick and smooth though, they didn’t enter the motorhome to search.
