Recommendation from a local. Big flat parking lot, no parking restriction signs, there's even a section for trailers. Toilet but no water. AT&T signal barely usable. Super quiet!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Overnight parking is now not allowed, they close the parking at 10pm
Report Check-InNot the quietest but not bad. Great biking, many vans in at night. Just be quiet as there are rich people houses around :)
Report Check-InSpent two nights here. Close to the road but more or less quiet. Flat spots, vault toilet, changing stalls. And of course MTB trails.
Report Check-InGreat place to sleep for a night, highly recommend. No signs saying you can’t park overnight. About 5 other vehicles parked overnight with us, could fit many more. Everyone was quiet, no one bothered us. Beautiful scenery all around. Great trails. Pit toilets, no running water.
Report Check-InWe hesitantly stayed here overnight with 3 other campers. Many of the parking areas for trailheads in this area, the Colorado Monument, and adjacent BLM or Dept of Interior land where we’d happily have stayed are very clearly marked as day use only. This isn’t. Local PD said it wasn’t in their jurisdiction. Still, all the locals we talked to and the dirt bags who parked and rode all day cautioned us that they didn’t think overnight parking was allowed. Everybody cleared out at dusk, with campers relocating to Walmart. Lot gets busy early. ATT signal is useless and weak.
Report Check-InNow, There is a sign « no overnight parking », and the parking is full because there is a cycling contest just behind.
Maintenant il y a la pancarte no overnight, le parking était plein à cause d’une compétition de vélo donc on n’est pas resté
Correction *There IS a “no overnight” sign as you enter the lot
Report Check-InNo “No Overnight” sign as you enter the lot. We stayed here one night (didn’t see the sign originally) and didn’t have problems, but I’m not sure I would recommend it again
