It truly is a great spot. Just a few spots with fire rings, clean outhouse no trash so pack in pack out. River runs pretty quickly at this spot. Bald eagles, beautiful views.

Beautiful spot on the river. Two other people campers here on a Sunday, with plenty of space between us. Easy road to get here, picnic table, and clean port-a-potty. What else could you ask for?

Report Check-In

Lots of spots to park. Could tables and fire pits. Right on the river. Really enjoyed this spot on my way down to McCall!

Really nice for a free campground. Cleanest porta-potties I’ve seen in a while. Right on the Lower Salmon River. BBQ pits and picnic tables at the sites, which are a decent size. No shade. Hot in the afternoon. You can walk down to the river for a dip.

Easy access. Quiet spot. 4 picnic tables and fire pits and one pit toilet. Cool breeze comes up the valley for sleeping. Starlink works great. Our 30’ class c had no problems getting in.

Snow free and 40 degrees F in February. Ground is dry and firm.

Great free spot. Road noise not bad, and there was a potable toilet. Easy access to the water, plus fire pit and picnic table. Cop drove through in the morning and waved.

Nice spot down by the river. Multiple fire rings and it’s free. Great place to stop for the night on your way through Idaho. Traffic noise is minimal other than the occasional exhaust brake you’ll hear as trucks descend the grade above the site.

Report Check-In

Large open area along the Salmon River. Suitable for all types of vehicles. There is almost no shade here. Very low highway noise compared to the sound of the river. One portapoti on site. 14 Day limit.
Thank you Idaho.

Unmarked entrance on Highway 95, so the rec site was empty. Fire pits and outhouse. Great spot for the night.

Report Check-In

Nice spot for the night. We pulled in at about 2 pm and there were already two other rigs here. Not much room for more than 3. Close to the town of White Bird. We stopped at Reds for pizza and it was really good!
