Description

Nice good quiet spot on the side of the end of N 100 Rd. Also the beach at only 500 feet. Here today for the fourth times. Good cell signal and hdtv antenna.

Great place, quite, in the middle of the dunes and the beach.
cell signal is not strong here... but it works

Back again this year, a bit more campers this years, still a great place

Great place. I have 52 feet rig(pickup and TT) I manage to turn around even with the narrow space, the wheels of my TT needed to go off the asphalt into the sand. We stayed here 4 days with a few other campers, Friday and Saturday night was a bit noisy but don't regret it

wonderful place, amazing sunrise and sunset
becareful with the tides and near the dunes to not get stuck!

This is our second time staying here and honestly we don't love it. Having the beach within walking distance is nice, but people drive so fast and irresponsibly that we didn't feel safe parked on the side of the road. Also Verizon reception is no longer good.

I’ve slept there one night. Quite calm during the night, a few other campers and you have a beautiful sunset and sunrise. I was parked on the side of the road but no problem!

Great spot on the side of the road! We stayed two nights with no issues and no one else parked near us. Great Verizon reception. My only complaint is that the road is 55mph so just be aware of people driving by going fast.

Report Check-In

Put it in 4x4 and went up the entire beach. Warm water but very high winds and not much protection. Fisher men all hours of the day and night. Regretfully lots of trash. Stayed for a few nights until high winds forced us off the beach. Lots of drift wood to burn. Overall better than Boca Chica but no where near as nice as Padre Island National Seashore.

camped overnite in converted cargo van on the side of the road. great view of the beach from the road. not sure if its legal, no signs, spent the nite with another car.

Super nice place, but stay on the road unless you have a 4x4 or know what you're doing. I got stuck on the beach, as were two other 2x4 vehicules... Friendly locals helped us get unstuck!
