Easy to get to, no one there this time of year. some snow around but the parking/camping area was mostly clear. Some decent sized puddles guarding the entrance but my 2WD Honda HR-V made it through no problem.
Report Check-InBeautiful space. I drive a van with a travel trailer and didn't have any problems finding or getting into this space. kinda bumpy getting into.
Report Check-InThis first spot is large enough for multiple vehicles. There’s 2 people there now on a Thursday morning. One looks a bit more permanent. Road gets bumpy but passable to the next checkpoint or campsite on Dalton canyon road (that’s where we stayed in our 25 foot class C - can maybe do a 30 tops). If weather was wet or snowy this place would be a mess. Very dry now. Will leave some more details on the next site where we stayed. @explore_RLT
Report Check-InQuiet spot just off the 63, about 10 miles after the Pecos National historical park. Good for one night, no facilities, clean and near the creek. 39F at 4pm today. Fire pit but not really any wood around
Report Check-InPrimitive camping but a nice flat spot just off route 63, space is big enough for at least 5 rigs and many more pull outs on the road further up the canyon. Fire pits available, Pecos river and a small creek around the spot. No traffic noise at night. Pecos National Historical Park near by closer to Hwy25 and very interesting site, opens at 8am, free and super clean bathrooms
Report Check-InGreat place to overnight park! Portable toilet available toward the road.
Report Check-InWide open area for multiple cars/RVs to park, more camping along the road as well. 1 bar of service with Sprint. No amenities, but nice creek and view. Primitive toilet down the road.
