Very large spot with fire rings, great view of lake and ample, private ‘facilitrees’. Room for multiple small vehicles or a large big rig. Downsides are some noise from the air base and bugs. Reached by a dirt road which is in good condition. Beautiful sunrise/sunset and wildlife viewing. Plus Verizon LTE.

Contrary to the one report this area is open. These are pet friendly places but are known for aggressive coyotes both during the day and night. No issues with people just the
occasional pet.
Up to 10 Day boondocking spot. Beautiful views. Dusty from ATVs speeding by. Peaceful otherwise. Lots of space between sites. Rock fire pits. Dumpsters nearby.
Report Check-InLots of spots in this area to park! This spot in particular is very big and can fit multiple rigs. We liked the spot across from this one that tucks back into a smaller more private spot. This place is BUSY so expect the best spots to be taken if you aren't going really early in the day or late in the day. Toilets by the boat launch. Verizon reception is spotty (we needed to use our booster), but it works!
Report Check-InGreat Lake spot. The lake is beautiful!!! We arrived in Saturday night and it was very crowded. We found a spot though it was gorgeous!! No cell service. Very flat able to make with 2WD. You enter on a gravel road and start seeing little spots everywhere. We pulled off at nice spot before coordinates
Report Check-InNice view of the lake. We are actually 150’ east in another pullout that has a fire ring because the overlook already had 2 RVs in it. Very pleasant spot. It’s 75° F today in late February. Good Verizon signal.
Report Check-InI actually stayed just around the bend in the road eastbound (didn’t want to make a new location as there’s so many campable pullouts on this road) it’s just like this or most any pullout in the area. View of the lake and mountains, places to walk around and explore, not much shade. Nice area to spend a few days! Saw a sign down the road that said camping is limited to 10 days.
Report Check-InNotice posted indicates 10 days maximum, but was there 14 days with no problem except for the mosquitos
Report Check-InThis a great place to relax, enjoy the weather, views of lake on one side & canal on the other. Good hiking & bike riding. Yuma proving ground bombs can be heard in the distance. 10 day limit for camping. Pavillion, bbq grills, pit toilets, boat slip, dumpsters 1mi.
Report Check-InAs has been said, nice views and plenty of room. Finding a level enough spot to camp/sleeping in the van was not an issue.
