There are some options: on the south side of the road there is a trailhead with picnic table. large gravel parking lot. hiway noise during the day. quiet at night. at the east side of the lot (closer to river) 1 bar verizon. the other option is further away from the road on the river bank on the *north* side of the river ( entrence near the bridge)
Report Check-InLarge area with room for lots of campers. As mentioned before, it seems to be a popular place for dirt bikes & 4-wheelers, but it was empty except for me last night. Pit toilets & trash bins available. Some areas had lots of broken glass. Please leave it cleaner than you found it. It’s right on the Walker River, in beautiful surroundings. Had ok internet w/my ATT hotspot, but no phone service with Verizon.
Report Check-InDid not stay here as we did not feel safe here. There are no lights so everything around you is black. If you come here make sure you arrive before nighttime. No service and no other campers were around.
Report Check-InPretty spot by the river. Quiet at night . Good for a night enroute to Yosemite.
Report Check-InPretty area. There are pit toilets and a small dumpster. People seem to come here to ride dirt bikes and 4 wheelers (we were here on a Saturday/Sunday). We parked by the river close to the road. There was only one other camper by the river but more in a separate section by the dune area.
