Description

A very nice and quite place to camp directly at the big pool. Wonderful view of the valley and the old Ex-Hacienda. The whole place is very clean including the toilets!, Fire places (bring your own wood) Concrete-Pool has perfect temperature for swimming and relaxing. The cave with two hot pools are some meters behind inside the mountain. Some locals came at dusk to bath in the cave-pools and left afterwards. Quiet and safe night. There was nobody who asked for a fee - so we stayed for free.

Very interesting place. Vincente charged us 50pp MX. New bathrooms with handicapped toilet and grab bar! Not very level parking, but okay with levelers. Amazing, garbage cans everywhere. You have to go out of your way to litter. Place has trash everywhere. So much food thrown down the stray dogs won't eat. Dogs gave us quite a barking last night. Got the tazer out and gave um' the sound of that. never heard from them again!
yes that 5 miles of road looks good but it's very rough. took us an hour to get in.

Good place. We pay 20 US$ for two people and the Hotcave. Think we have payed to much. But the hot water was really nice. There are some street dogs and waste but it's okey. The roadto this place is gravel but you don't need 4x4.

Caution, long dirt road to get here. We didn't make it because we started down this road near sunset and opted for the gas station on the toll way to overnight. Also google maps will tell you to get off the toll way long before you turn north, dont do it. You can exit the toll way right where the bridge goes over.

wonderful place to camp and enjoy the hot spring in the cave. 50pp with clean bathrooms. There is also a large pool with water from the spring and it is cooler than in the cave. Great hot spring!! We will definitely be back!

Arrived here at 1pm and stayed for a night. Fee of 50 pesos per person. You have access to clean bathrooms. The place is a gem. There is a pool made of concrete with water from the spring. Then there is a kind of pool inside the mountain with the waterfall inside. It is just beautiful. Really hot water, you won't refresh yourself here. The place can get quite crowded so I advise you to come early to find a good spot for your car. People are generally quite respectful but they let quite a but of trash around. You won't find a cheaper place around, as good as this one. 4 friendly stray dogs + the owner's one. Nothing around so if you plan to come bring enough water and food to enjoy this place!

Open and beautiful. The cave has a nice waterfal and hundrests of bats at the end. so don't drink the water ;) We came late and camped outside the gate entrance fee in the morning was 50 per person. You can exit the pay road by the bridge.

Report Check-In

This place is currently closed.
A sign at the locked gate says 'closed temporarily' and we first thought it was due to the pandemic. But a local told us that the place was already closed for about a year.
He also told us about another hot spring pool a few minutes north west of here which turned out to be closed as well.

Great spot, 15km off the main highway on a dirt road suitable for most vehicles. cost is mx$30 for an adult and mx$15 for a child. Gates lock at night for extra security. Pool is warm rather than hot.
