Then whisked us away quickly- vaminos, vaminos.
We stopped in Caracollo which is 40 km away with good references in the overlander. They didn't want to sell gasoline. They said they can only sell if you have a Bolivian ID. So we stopped at the next gas station in Oruro and, negotiating, I paid 6 Bol, filling the Tank and Jerry cans.extremely recommended.

It was too easy. Luckily there was no other car when we arrived. So i got off with the money on my hand and offered 150 bls for 30 lts without ticket (5 bolivianos per lt). The man accepted kindly. This method worked for us everywhere in bolivia.
At first told us 8.7BOL per liter. Then with no bill, 7BOL, and finally we settle at 6BOL a liter (but i think we could have go lower). Directly in the tank. Cash only.
Report Check-InManaged to get 50l of diesel for 5 Bs. directly into the fuel tank. Wanted to have 6 Bs. at first but after some haggling and smiling got him down to 5Bs.
