Description

This place is located directly at the road to the Agua Termales. It is just a small place at one bend of the road. You can walk from here to the hot springs, the trip is about 3.5km one way. It is a calm place and there was no traffic at night. You can walk the small path to have a nice view over the valley. The street gets worse and the last 200m are very shaky but driveable with any car. There is a gate about 2/3 the way from the bigger street to here. It is open from 9 to 5. Usually you have to pay a fee to get in but our tickets from the cave near Creel (actually there was no cave, we paid 160M$ to get in and only saw a souvenir shop) worked, too.

Beautiful to watch the sun set over the canyon walls. It's the flat area just before there is a 'paved' road (quite hellish as others have described). It was only us and some local stray dogs. Gave them some food and water. We hiked down and back up from here to the pools.

so now a little different the rough cobblestone road enters this parking place large and flat and the main parking for the hotsprings.the walk down continues for 3.5km on STEEP switchbacks.the casseta does say emergency vehicles, but when I staggered into the bottom parking after the walkdown the place had 3 vehicles. its no easy walk in the parkvand after dehidrating for 2 hrs in the pool my lift backup was welcomed, beautifully place.
