Something not right?

Description

I stayed here two nights, felt very safe. It is the place where the local fishermen keep and launch their boats from. Families come on the weekends so will be more crowded. I stayed on the little road near the little beach to the east the first night and the second night I was invited to park in the boat launching area. I felt safe in both spots and it was quiet after dark. This is a local community gathering spot where people fish and pass the time.

This seems to be a local spot and while no one said anything to us somebody did hit our camper (with their hand we think though it’s possible it was their side mirror since we also heard a car) which made us feel rather unwelcome. There were a lot of people coming and going all night to hang out at the pier so it wasn’t the most quiet either. We only spent one night here. It is pretty though.

Lovely peaceful spot.
Upon arrival we spoke to the fishermen who asked us to park on the road leading to the dock rather than on the concrete dock.
We are 12’ high & removed a few tree branches getting in here!

Wow. What a stunning spot. Right on the water on a public boat docking platform. I was there on a Saturday night and it occasionally got loud (but this is everywhere in Mexico in Saturday nights). Upon leaving there was a City Police man watching locals fish, and he didn’t care I was parked there. That said, few of the locals park on this platform, they park on the side of the street leading to the platform, and I sense that that’s probably the right thing to do (or arrive late and leave REALLY early, before the morning fishing begins). But what a great little spot!!!

It's probably the best place in Chacala if you are searching for a free stay. We were unlucky to get here over the weekend, so there was a LOT of traffic and loud music going on around the camper, but nothing that wouldn't stop around midnight. it's a fishermen's pier, the boats come and go constantly plus there's always sb watching over them so we felt safe even leaving our solar panels on the rooftop when we were going to the beach. There are no public facilities, but if you walk to the beach (around 5 min walk), you can find everything there. If you don't have a bathroom, it's kinda problematic to find a spot here. :D

Stayed here 3 nights Thur - Sun. Foot and car traffic throughout the day and night. Locals like to tailgate this spot on weekends. This town is very sweet, was a very comfortable place to spend several days.

Stayed two nights without issue. Location is still as described.

Very good to spend a night. Nice view from the fishing port on the large Chacala beach. Purchase of fish direct from the fisherman. Water available. Good Telcel signal. Small swimming possible at 100m. A little dirty along the parking lot.

Great place for us for one night. Quiet and safe. Got there on a Sunday afternoon, lots of families/kids swimming in the gentle water. A short walk to the main Playa - so your close -but away from all the traffic and noise. Driving in - stay up the hill from the main playa and you’ll drive northerly till the roads lead to the Marina.
