Latest Check-Ins

As of Mar '24 all the same as reported. Access is good. Beach is clean. Still 100 pesos to camp.

Report Check-In

Great quiet camping spot. Easy access. 4wd needed for the camping on the sand. Mario was a great host and brought me tacos and fire wood. Sadly, lots of trash and flies.

Report Check-In

Great pay dry camping beach. Mario comes every evening and collects 100 pesos per vehicle. Trash and recycling cans, a short walk to town, and an abandoned marina that was never used. Excellent point break for anything 2' and bigger. Can get really windy with a lot of sand moving. Great beach and dune walking, dog heaven.

Report Check-In

Our second time staying at this campground. Mario came to collect 100 pesos per night in the evening. He will also bring you firewood for 50-100 pesos. Trash cans are available, too.

Beautiful beach without trash and debris. Good for surfing with gentle, rolling rights off the point. Lots of osprey, sand dunes, flowering desert plants.

Walking distance to town. Wifi and great fish tacos at the Cactus Cafe. Water and groceries in town, too.

Very special and peaceful.

Report Check-In

Great spot in a very small, quiet village. The beach is really beautiful, and Mario or his son will come at dusk to collect 100p — very friendly family. The road down to the beach was something I didn’t want to risk in our flat-nosed skoolie, so we camped up on the hill. You can get a view of the whole bay and village, but windy when El Norte blows. El Cactus was closed both days we were here. Mario said he didn’t know why. There’s a small market in town with beer and a purified water fill (jugs only.)

Report Check-In

Nice spot here with good beginner surfing and long boarding. Mario came by and asked for $100 pesos per vehicle per night. he brought us trash cans and firewood for another $50 pesos. you can walk to town along the beach. bigger rigs and 2wd vehicles probably better off closer to the long downhill road. spots further towards the point have to cross the beach which gets pretty soggy after a rain or mist.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, quiet spot. We have a 27 ft trailer so didn’t want to risk driving down to the beach as the road is sandy and uneven. Parked up on the hill, which was level enough.
Even if we weren’t parked on the beach we were glad we stopped. Easy walk down the hill to the water. Fish tacos at El cactus was the cherry on top.

Report Check-In

excellent spot. tricky entrance to the campsite. we have a 2wd class b camper van with a high top and I walked the entrance first before deciding it was doable and made it with a bit of white knuckles on the steering wheel. lots of spots with great views of the ocean and an amazing beach. it's us and one other van on the entire beach. $100 pesos per night. Can't beat that. some fire rings and even a trash barrel.

Report Check-In

Road was steep and a little rocky getting in. We made it just fine in our Element with AWD and only about 6" clearance. I think it would be much harder for anything with a trailer or a long wheel base. You can drive straight onto the beach and we saw a lot of 4x4s do just that but we didn't risk it. Mario comes by at dusk to collect $100mxn. He was very nice and friendly and offered us free wood for campfires (there are some stone fire rings around). Flies not too bad at all and the view is great. Great area to explore with sand dunes. Very calm waves at the moment. No cell signal.

Report Check-In

This is a nice place to camp, and as advertised. Mario did collect 100 pesos/night, and will get you what you need. The town is very poor with few amenities and supplies. Fishing for halibut is pretty good.

Report Check-In

All the same. 100 Pesos collected by Mario Mclitsh. Quite a bit of trash around. I carried away what I could. Safe. Peaceful. Beautiful.

Report Check-In

Perfect stop on our way to Guerrero Negro. $5 (100 pesos) to dry camp on beach. Made it to flat rocky area near beach in our 23’ Class A. Stunning sunset. Rain & wind all night long. Left early before rain started again. Didn’t want to get caught in wet sand.

Report Check-In

Beautiful beach camping. Be careful in the sand with 2WD. Very safe!! Locals greeted us the first night!

Report Check-In

Quiet spot amongst the dunes. No one came for $5 fee. Very windy, but we tucked in behind some bushes for some relief. Only ones here.

Report Check-In

beautiful spot, but you definitely need a 4x4 to get down the last slope. there is a major washout just as you go down the cliff to the beach.

Report Check-In
