Latest Check-Ins

Neat campsites each with its own amblution with shower, basin and toilet. Amblutions in good condition. P220 per person per night.

Report Check-In

Don't bother. Far better options a few kilometres down the road in Kasane.

Report Check-In

OK campsite with own ablutions. Sand underfoot, no shower curtain or sink plug in our ablutions and had to ask for toilet paper. Wifi only at lodge main building and meals at lodge seemingly only geared towards lodge guests and not for campers even though we were told breakfast was possible and would pay extra extra for it when we asked for it long before cutoff time there was nothing available. This place is now Chinese owned and although the location by the river is very nice and the potential huge they have some way to get the details right, although there are signs of this happening such as new buildings and many new plants in place . Interestingly, there were very few lodge guests but quite a number of campers

Report Check-In

The campsite is clean but very close to the staff working area so you will hear staff vehicles drive past you as well as have staff walk through your campsite. Private ablutions with hot water. No river view for camping but gorgeous views by the lodge and cottages. You can sit by the river and watch hippos go about their day. We paid 220 pppn. Good for a night stay if you just want to sleep and go.

Report Check-In

Great campsites with own ablution and kitchen. Does not have a view on the river.
The staff were very friendly and helpfull. We stayed over on a Friday night and the music in the far distance were not disturbing. They have renovated some cottages and these look out over the river with lovely green grass. We enjoyed our stay. Camping fees were 220Pula pppn Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Nice open space, own ablution, power and water no grass. No bar no restaurant. Camping not on River.

Fees: P220 pppn.

Report Check-In

Bad food! Location is fine but place feels like it needs some attention.

Report Check-In

As described. Esther, the new owner was welcoming. Pd P200ppn. Place is being renovated. Been here before in 2019 and campsite much the same. Ablutions need work. Pool was clean so a swim was welcome. Not many options in Kasane and doubt we will come back here unless things change drastically.

Report Check-In

As before. We paied 210 Pula pP.
Think ist‘s overpriced for what you get.

Report Check-In

We were the only ones here
The location of lodge is stunning right on the river.
The campsites are behind the lodge has individual bathrooms. Basic but adequate

Report Check-In

Nice lodge, under new management. The location on the river is really nice. Very friendly staff. They do make vegetarian food. Swimming pool near the bar.

Report Check-In

The logde has new owners and the main lodge is under renovation. Campsite is behind the lodge, away from the river. Separate small ablution at each campsite. We were disappointed: the campsites seemed a bit run down, not very clean, and overpriced at P200 pppn.

Report Check-In

Campsite not bad with private ablutions as stated, but price steep at 200PPPN. It’s good, but nothing special.
The restaurant was disappointing. We ate there twice and both times the food was below average. Food arrived cold after long wait, service unattentive, etc.
It’s a shame, place has potential, but should have someone that runs the place with a vision and trains personnel properly.

Report Check-In

We went here and stumped up the extortionate 200pula pppn based on a recommendation we had received. Huge mistake and total waste of money. Go somewhere else and get better value, this place really isn’t worth it! Staff were friendly enough but seemed very disorganised and in desperate need of some training. We were told to just pick whichever camping pitch we wanted, and the first three we chose we were told the facilities were broken and awaiting maintenance. When we eventually found a pitch that was functional, we had to wait at least an hour for the ablutions to be cleaned. The place offers nothing special. WiFi was so poor it was not useable at all. Loud music kept us up until 3am, and every pitch has a private ablution block with a light on the outside that is on a light sensor, so cannot be switched off, meaning the light pollution was appalling! Would be an OK stopover campsite... if were less than half the price!

Report Check-In

prices has rised in Agust from 150 Pulas pppn to 200 Pulas pppn.

Report Check-In

Construction finished, restaurant finished, probably the nicest stopover in Kasane now. Great ablutions, private, clean.

Report Check-In

Spacious campsites with private ablution and kitchen With washing line. About 12kms out of Kasane. Beautiful view of Chobe river from restaurant/bar area. Free wi-fi only at restaurant/bar/reception area.

Report Check-In

New bar built but not operational, restaurant serving some nice food with broad menu. Old bar running but narrow choice (ran out of gin and red wine temporarily) We stayed in chalets which are nice and clean, a/c, TV, own hot showers etc, comfortable beds. Place not very busy whilst we were there so not a lot of atmosphere but should be good once busier. Helpful manager and attentive team. Small pool. Riverside location is nice.

Report Check-In

Nice riverside location, restaurant is now functional but didn't try it. The private ablutions are a nice luxury but were full of wasps. There also seemed to be a nightclub right nextdoor as there was music blaring until late, which really spoiled the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. 130p pp.

Report Check-In

Fully agree with Maggy in Africa. We stayed there for 3 nights and did a nice morning game drive and river cruise organised by the lodge. Free wifi at the bar overlooking the Chobe river, average speed. Highly recommended

Report Check-In

Nice individual ablutions, hit water, electricity. Very large site , easy access for Big trucks . Resort not fully open yet so not much atmosphere as bar & restaurant not open but I'm sure it will be once fully open. Price 130 P pp per night.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite, big and shady with individual ablutions. Close to ferry and borders. Nice restaurant are overlooking river. Can organise sunset boat trips. Friendly staff. Very secure. Perfect stopover!

Report Check-In

Still building the Bar. Campsite is nice and clean.

Report Check-In

Accommodation and campsite at the river, private ablutions at campsite, price 120 pula, restaurant coming but not yet ready. About 1 km from ferry to Zambia

Report Check-In

They have reopened last week and it's now called Big 5 Lodge. Nice, big campsites with electricity, fireplace, hot and cold water. Every campsite has it's own shower and toilet. Wifi at the reception. Sunset cruise is a must do with lot's of hippo's, elephants, crocodiles, birds and buffalo's. You can even hear the hippo's from the campsite! New manager is really friendly and helpful. Oh...and prepare for some spiders 😉

Report Check-In

The place was closed for renovations when we visited. The guard could not tell when it would reopen.
