Very difficult actually impissable to find. Ok for 1 night stop very basic, cild shower, pit toilet. Nice family but liads of animal noises and dogs barking all through the night. Asked for $10 (35k tzs) iffered 15k tzs pp as place iffers nothing. Accepted. Mys0t phone franc to meet you near president sign as going into town. Gps in all maps will never get you here, small river crossing and through the fields. Really just a homestead with kids and families offerung a safe parking

Nice place, very basic but ok.
Nice view to the moutain.
difficult to find but when you arrive to the village, Israel know It and find you to show you the way.
very quiet good experience!

This is the perfect place to stay and have a real Maasai experience! You can camp in the garden of Frank and Israel who live next door. The campsite was still under construction when we where there, but there is a toilet and (cold) shower. In the evening they make a fire for you and in the morning they gave us hot water for dishwashing and shower. They also do tours to the ruins and Frank can tell you everything about the Maasai culture. It's nothing fancy but a very nice experience!

Call Frank or Israel in advance so they can wait for you at the turn off and show you the way. (see mark on the map)

Nice place. The owner is called Israel (and not Fred as previously said, don't know if something has changed?). We paid 10000 shillings per pers. Diner for 10000 extra shillings per pers was really good (rice+vegetables+beans) and huge quantity that we share with Israel.
We went to the ruins and to see the masai woman with Israel. A bit expensive but very nice. 30000 tzs for the guide, 20000 tzs for the government fee for the ruins and 50000 tzs for the masai women community.

difficult to find that place ,the navi sent us to the wrong place,
very friendly people ,one toilet,one shower ,basic but clean,
they have plans to develope this campground .....

The campsite here is still under construction by Fred and his family- it is not run by the women’s community centre but rather the family who reside on the property and have a rich history in the area.

We had an absolutely lovely experience learning about the region and the Masaai culture around the village of Engaruka. The entire family is incredibly welcoming; they took us on a walk to see the ruins and the village and were happy to open their home to us.

Grassy area to park vehicle/tents; squat toilet and cold shower.

A perfect stop between Lake Natron and Mto Wa Mbu.

We paid $5pppn.

10$ with breakfast. Beautiful green garden to camp or stay in one of the 3 huts. Full of trees and grass. A paradise in the desert. The place is managed by the Masai women community, they are very helpful and this is a place to have an unforgettable Masai experience.
