Bolivia
Ferry terminal on opposite side for Copacabana, we got charged 50 bols, per locals it should be 20 bols. You go on the barge with your vehicle to make the crossing.
Open everyday from 5am to 9pm
NOTE Negotiate price BEFORE driving on to barge. Lots to choose from. (When there is a queue there is no choice, you just get directed towards the next boat)
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
40Bs for a Nissan Pathfinder.. we were told this is the standard price for all vehicles, but I'd say it's the standard gringo price :)
Report Check-Inthe car minibus 35 they need two so 70. for a bike 10 BOL. but on the barge they suddenly ask for more. so you have to greet beforehand. gave them 5 more so 15 for the bike and me
Report Check-InWe paid exact 40 bol on the ferry when he came near, no talk only smile at the monent. Nice.
There was another bolivian car on board. We are 2 persons and a small transporter fiat fiorino.
Easy experience, 50B/vehicle. We were able to move 3 vehicles + trailer across the lake at once on two separate barges. Do note that once you get to the front of the que, they will quickly signal you onto a barge. If you want time to prep, stage before the actual terminal. Considering the ease of the border and ferry, this route is a win.
Report Check-Infriendly people. 40bob without having to negotiate. quick and easy.
Report Check-InLots of boats to choose from. I paid 15bol for me and my motorbike. No problems. 10 minute journey to the other side. Good luck turning your bike round on the boat.

Fast and easy. 20 bols per motorcycle. You have to ride on to the barge and then turn around to ride out of it, it's good to plan this a bit ahead ;)
Report Check-InAsked the locals and they all said it was 40bob. We paid 40 without negotiating. A bus in front paid 50
Beautiful day , and it was a pretty fun ride.
No problems at all. We could drive directly on the boat, friendly guy who asked us 40BOL. Easy and nice crossing

Local minivan in front of us paid 35, they asked us for 80, with the motto "turist has to pay more" unpleasant handled to 40!
:-(
Asked two barges, both told us 40bol for our van. Crossed with our car and a huge bus, so I don't think bigger rigs have anything to worry about.
Report Check-InCar ferry crossing. Tickets purchasable for 2 bs (I think) at the nearby ticket office, although the military officer in charge waved us on without a ticket.
Report Check-In50bs to cross on April, 20. Precarious wooden ferry. May be a little dangerous if you have a big/heavy RV.
Report Check-InQuick trip across the water. We paid 50 bolivianos just before arriving on the other side.
Report Check-InJust drive up to the boats and wait in line. We got charged 40Bol after the crossing.
