Something not right?

Description

It’s a pull over on the right hand side before you cross the bridge on hwy 1 into revelstoke. There are pit toilets, dark, truckers stay there and can be loud with the trains at night.

sign says 8hr parking, would say it isn't enforced. lots of room for TT, motor homes, vans and cars. right next to highway and rails, very loud with traffic and trains all night. pit toilets only

Report Check-In

Didn’t stay but come apparent full timers present so suspect 8 hour rule isn’t enforced.

Report Check-In

stayed for 2 nights, lots for campers, maybe around 15 cars and 15 truckers a night. signs say don't stay for more then 8 hours but some people seem to stay the whole day. it's a load spot with the train and highway but its free and close to the ski resort.

Report Check-In

As described. Many (30ish?) other rigs here midweek in Winter. Seems to be 'the spot' if you're skiing Revelstoke. Keep and clean and hopefully it won't get shut down!

Report Check-In

Considered Revelstoke Rest Area on Google maps, it’s a large place right off highway 1. Great spot to stay overnight. Kind of loud with the highway and occasional train.

Report Check-In

We arrived around 10pm and there was still plenty of space. It's super easy to find, very large and relatively quiet. The flip side is that a large truck pulled beside us while we were sleeping and had his engine / generator running by our window all night. That's the risk you take. So bring ear plugs!! :) But if that would not have happened, it was a perfect spot for a late rest spot.
We did not use any of the facilities listed, so I can't comment.
Alternative would have been to sleep at the rest area at "the last spike", about 30 minutes west.

Report Check-In

we spent a quiet night even if there is a lot of trucks.

Report Check-In

Busy truck stop but had a very quiet night.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 1 night.
It's somewhere to stay when overnight parking is not permitted anywhere else in town and when your just passing through.

Report Check-In

Spacious rest area, pit toilets were well maintained. Definitely loud with train and truck noise, but we still got a good rest. Take a walk across the bridge and watch the beautiful sunset!

Report Check-In

Yep, loud, earplugs help. Some edible berries at the side. Pit toilets.

Report Check-In

truck stop was great and free
make sure to park your vans. rv trailers and suv campers on the
far side where the woods are

Report Check-In

Giant area to rest. Sign says up to 8 hours /stay. By the highway (Loud)

Report Check-In

mostly quiet, mix of truckers and cars/vans. A couple of overhead flood lights and a few trucks driving around resulted in a light sleep, but lots of space

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night. It was fairly easy to find a level spot. We parked alongside the treelike and had a nice bit of privacy in our kitchen looking into the trees (slides are on the same side). There are pit toilets and garbage/recycle bins. No one bothered us. It was noisy until approx. midnight and then I didn't hear anything until morning. Great spot.
There are also spots across the road in the trees and by the water under the bridge, but that area felt a bit too sketchy for us.

Report Check-In

A lot of RVs, cars, trucks... Looks like some of them are living here. A lot of trash. Very noisy at night due to highway and railroad proximity.

Report Check-In

sign says please keep it 8 hrs but I don't think they're too strict here

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Lots of space at this Truck Pull out. Quite noisy and busy in the evening and morning. there are a few spaces in the shade, so it's worth it ;)

Report Check-In

Same rest area reviewed as “rest stop outside revy”

Report Check-In

well lit, not as noisy as I expected, lots of room

Report Check-In

Tons of semis overnight here as well as road noise from semis passing by all night. But it's free and it's legal. Pit toilet and trash cans. Huge lot.

Super busy truck rest stop just outside of Revelstoke. Pit toilets on site. A little nicer than the side of the road options in town!

Really hoping I put this in correctly. It’s a pull over on the right hand side before you cross the bridge on hwy 1 into revelstoke. There are pit toilets, dark, truckers stay there and can be loud with the trains at night.
