Something not right?

Description

Really nice place to stay for some time in Caraz. Natural really hot shower. Good beds and big rooms. Clean and good and warm service, a bit more expensive but worth it. We payed 70 soles a night for a two bed room. We parked our motorcycles inside the hostel. WiFi was okay but it didn’t work 1 day. The town is slow and nice.

Don't bother. They don't know how to treat customers. We only went here because in Caraz it was impossible to find a hotel that would accept us with two well behaved, European dogs. First night they put us in a horrible room facing the street where the windows don't block any noise and the wifi doesn't reach, even though we asked for good functioning wifi. The owner was understanding and promised to move us to a different room the next day where the internet reaches but it took 1,5 hours for his staff to find a suitable room because the other wifi network which reaches the room, didn't work. At the end we had to call the owner to sort it out because we almost left although we paid for three nights in advance. They were telling us everything is full but at the end we ended up in the third room. The last day of our stay a woman probably related to the owner was really surprised seeing us walking by with the dogs, that they were allowed in the hotel. Two dogs so well behaved, she had no idea they're here until then. Talking about us in Spanish as if we didn't understand, calling us gringos of course. To give you a better understanding, this room costs 60 soles/night which is way more than usual in Peru but it's not worth it at all. You can't close the bathroom door (no handle), two out of three electric sockets are too loose and don't charge, the room itself is very basic and could use renovation. Beds were quite comfy though, hot shower was working and the room was clean.

NOT NICE PEOPLE... They actually turn you away if you have a bicycle. They seemed to be disgusted by the way I looked after cycling in the hot sun all morning.
