Great workshop. They have some ARB parts and other offroad equipment for sell.

Ahmed fixed our broken leave spring directly and send us after that to his own campsite near the beach.

Even nice to visit, if the car is not broken.

Ahmed is a great guy, friendly and customer service is second to none. However we had similar experience to previous entries. He replaced the steering end rods (my name, not Toyotas name 😂) but didn’t get 100% the right part - so they drilled hole out until it fitted! And they failed to tighten the anti roll bar sufficiently. The spare part fitted was not Toyota and it failed less than a week later. However, the “legendary bothers” in Accra sorted it out and Ahmed was happy for them to cross charge him.
So as I said, excellent customer service, but check everything. He has plenty of 4x4 kit and filters etc. Specialises in toyota but works with other 4x4 too.

we were at Ahmed to change some rubbers and to drill out some broken bolts out of our wheel hub. Ahmed is very friendly and speaks English fluent. for removing the broken bolts they removed the complete hub and gave it to a workshop. they didn't do a good job. the threads weren't good again. when Ahmed guys assembled everything they didn't found the bolts for the break anymore (got some others after a hour of searching) and they destroyed our swivel pin bearing. they weren't able to find a new one. we left after one day of searching Ahmeds garage. car was a Landrover defender. in conclusion I would say for normal service work Ahmed is really good. with our problem he was really sorry because he knew that it was the fault of his guys. he also gave us a discount of 60€ for buying new parts at home. for serious mechanical problems I have to say that they work fast but not with much care. if something doesn't fit they try it with the hammer till it fits. cleaning parts/seal's/braekdisks before assembly is not a part of their work.

Ahmed and his staff is so wonderful ! I come here for just a check up ( vidange and change joint SPI) everything is was good. They don’t have a filter of oil for my véhicule because It s rare here but he search in all Abidjan and found it.

Ahmed is not here but I see Hadi and wife of Ahmed everyone in kind and hospitality. You can sleep in front of the garage. There is guard in night.

Wonderful service from Ahmed and his team, he was fully booked still he gave us time and booked a day for us quickly to go through what we needed in the car, after one full day of repairs we took the car but we became good Friends with Ahmed.

He invited us to spend the Eid day with him and his friends in his land next to the beach and it was so cool.

We broke our front diff 200km from Abidjan so we contacted Ahmad by WhatsApp and he immediately answered that he can find a solution for us and he Did ! so we drove directly there and didn't waste time going to other garage.
He could find a front diff from a used car but the part was in really good shape and even less used than mine !
He has many original spare parts for land rover defender (and many others) at a fair price (European'average price).
The price for the work is also fair.
you can even do the chassis epoxy paint to protect from corrosion, again at a fair price ;)
Like in every mechanics its good to watch out what the workers do on you car.

Ahmed muved faster, he found a tire to my truck. he arrange an appointment (in same day) to lift the truck and make a deep revew, we resolved all details we found and got ready to move on.

Because of the long repair process of my car(a lot was spoiled)I had the opportunity to see how they work. We went to Ahmad’s to change brake pads and filters + fix a problem with the direction. He understands the needs of overlanders and was willing to make the repairs as fast as possible (service takes a couple of hours), for very reasonable price (filters - originals - were 1/4 to 1/5 of the price we paid in Conakry). Orignal parts + reinforced parts available directly at his shop.
Ahmad and his team were very welcoming and extremely friendly, I would definitely recommend.
He also has a very nice place to camp under coconut trees right on the beach ;-)

Ahmed and his team are very welcoming and very efficient. They managed to find parts for our old Mercedes 609 through their amazing network.
We were able to spend the night in front of the garage, a rather quiet street even if the heat of Abidjan bothered us a lot.
Thanks to Ahmed we were able to make the repairs quickly.
We highly recommend this garage.

We really wanted to write a great review of this place. The owner seemed genuine and well intentioned and friendly. However unfortunately we cannot recommend coming here. We went in for an oil change, oil filter change and air filter change. Whilst there, we were recommended to change other filters and all our brake pads and discs- which we did on his recommendation. During the work, we spotted errors with putting brake callipers back together and had to step in to correct. After we left, on the motorway, our brake caught fire as the brake calliper slide had still been left out off the calliper by one of the junior mechanics. The calliper had seized. In fairness, the owner said he would fix it, but didn’t want to take responsibility saying it was not his fault. (We arrived with all our brakes working and left with a fire so not sure how that holds). We ended up having to buy a new calliper, which he recommended as he blamed the age of the calliper rather than recognising that the mechanics may have made a mistake. The calliper was old so we changed it. We checked the rest of the work that evening and the oil had been overfilled (potentially significant problem)and one clip left off the airbox (minor, but shoddy). Obviously mistakes can always be made, but we felt these were quite serious, potentially dangerous, and were more than just one mistake. Felt less confident in our car after leaving than we did when we arrived! Charging international prices and the work is not up to that level. We are sorry to have to write this. On the plus side- he did supply some genuine parts (not all).

Ahmed really helped us when the clutch in our defender broke. And we weren’t even in Abidjan! I connected with him on WhatsApp and he willingly used his contacts to find the right part for us. He didn’t ask for anything. We were so grateful and would recommend him and his mechanical expertise to anyone in the overlanding community.

After agreeing through Whatsapp on what we wanted done (regular service on Landcruiser), Ahmad was ready for us the next morning and put his staff to work right away! Really fast service, and next to regular service they also solved some basic electric issues (without charge). We did need to check and request for extra lubrication since they didnt do all the moving parts, but thats like everywhere, just keep an eye on the work. Fast, not expensive, friendly!

If you need maintenance at yourToyo, that's the place to go.
The owner wants me to mention that they let you sleep in their frontyard
they give you WiFi
and they are quick, they know what they are doing, items not on stock appear by magic within minutes, we have an VTD, not the typical car here, but they got what was needed immediately
They changed Oil and Filters incl. Air, changed Oil in rear diff, total lube incl. suspension, replaced all breake pads and crossed out the tires and did some other minor jobs, 3 man working on our car. by 8:15 they started, by 10 30we were rolling again.
Great job, perfectly executed.

We had some electrical work done on our Toyota Hilux camper and also had our door fixed. Very quick and competent service and excellent shop where you can find everything for your off road needs. Highly recommend.

We visited having spoken to Ahmad on WhatsApp (+very handy he speaks good English!) in our 4x4 Merc sprinter. We got our oil, oil-filter, brake and front wheel bearings changed and also got some additional 'under protection' fabricated and installed (essentially a piece of 2mm sheet metal bent to stop some of the mud etc....)
We had all the spares and oil with us so only had to pay for labour, grease (for bearings) and the metal/materials for protection). We paid 70,000cfa total and it took almost full day (having booked via WhatsApp was handy). Ahmad is very supportive of the 'overland-commuity' (he runs his own fj-cruiser 4x4 club!) and patiently dealt with our whatsapp questions!

Ahmad allowed us to use his AC-office and WiFi during the day and we left happy with the work.

However; after a few KM on the highway we noticed a vibration and pulled over. It turned out both wheels on the left side had (VERY) loose wheel nuts. We could have easily and quickly lost a wheel on the motorway. We presume as a result; one of these wheels had lost a spigot ring (plastic spacer to allow for difference in centre-bore)

We contacted Ahmad who apologised unreservedly and we were invited back to check everything and sort missing spigot the next morning. We returned 48hrs later and as a spigot couldn't be found straight away we agreed to a 10,000cfa refund. At the same time the bolts etc were checked (we were a little nervous other bolts may have been left loose) and Ahmad again answered our questions about potential problems.

Whilst we realise 'loose wheel bolts' could have been very serious and we were potentially lucky to not be seriously hurt we don't want to be unfair. The service up to that point was good and if you have a Toyota the range of spares would probably be great! (we're in a Merc sprinter 4x4 van and had to source our own bearings)

There is a good range of generic 4x4 stuff (light bars to roof-tents of good quality) but the vehicle specific stuff is definitely focused towards Toyota (particularly the fj cruiser).

On balance we would definitely say this was well above the generic-african-by-the-road place and although a (serious) mistake was made would remind you Ahmad apologised and we were reassured this was well out of the ordinary.

We would also remind people you could easily experience the same in Europe (we have!)

That said we learnt a lesson - always check, after a few hours of what appeared to be diligent work we left them to it, having watched carefully thus far. From now on we watch always. Also, were ever you are CHECK YOUR OWN (wheel) NUTS people!

Quality mechanic specialized in offroad cars. great service. changed to good quality oil, replaced broken shock absorbers. not as cheap as a street mechanic but it was worth the money and still cheap. had shock absorbers for nissan patrols right in the shop. highly recommended!

The only shop in Cote D’Ivoire that specialises in 4x4 off-road parts, mechanics and camping gear. We are getting a custom-made shelf put in our car so we can access the fridge more easily. Ahmed and his wife are so lovely. Work started immediately on our car and will be done within 30 minutes to an hour. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
