Great spot right by the sea. Toilets and showers are clean. There is a red socket at the washroom with 220V (see image). Worked great for us.

Report Check-In

Recomendado!

We stayed for 8 nights and celebrated Christmas here. Could not imagine a better campground on the beach. I think the other comments already tell everything.

We did not have enough cash but we could pay via Western Union. Just ask for it and they will give you their bank details which you can use for a bank transfer via western union.

Report Check-In

Best campsite. Straight on the beach. Sea view, showers and toilets nearby.
They like to get paid in cash, but no cajero in town. We convinced him to let us pay him via Western Union. Way easier.

Report Check-In

The best campsite we stayed at on the coast of Colombia! A true paradise. They are already charging 60 thousand pesos per night, but we got a discount for staying two days for 100 thousand. The cell phone signal fluctuates a lot and as there is no Wi-Fi it is really a place to rest :)

Report Check-In

____

Great place! Literally standing on the sand, in front of the sea. It has a cold water shower, clean toilets, electricity, an outdoor sink and plenty of shade, as well as a few kiosks with chairs. A washing machine can be rented for $4,000 pesos. We paid $50,000 pesos per day with a motorhome: 2 people + 1 pet. There is no Wi-Fi or Movistar signal, Claro works on 4G.

This was the perfect beach camp for us. We could only stay two nights, but can understand people get "stuck" here :)

Because they hosted a wedding (... amazing in this beautiful setting...) we were kindly asked to park our van on the eastern part of the property, which led us to a perfect spot right at the beach and next to some mangrove trees in which we coul fix our hammocks.

People were super friendly, and everything was clean and super nicely maintained.

We paid 50k (per night) for the two of us in a Sprinter.

We stayed 5 days here, very nice campground with clean bathrooms, washing machine and some common spaces to chill. Sometimes there are power outages in the village so for a few hours there is no electricity or water but it gets fixed in the day. We paid 40K for two people and a car.

Report Check-In

Loved this campground! Stayed here for the holidays, it was so quiet and peaceful. Plenty of shady space for lots of cars to have their own areas. Lots of indoor and outdoor showers, laundry sink and regular sink for dishes. 20 minute walk to town along the beach (and swim across the river) or the buses come every 15 minutes for 2,000p. The sea is too rough for swimming most of the time, and their dogs attacked two of our friends’ dogs, so not the best if you have pets with you. 50k per car

Report Check-In

We checked this place, but their dogs attacked our dog right away. Ours is very submissive and rarely gets attacked. The local guys said they had attacked another dog last week that one had to go to the vet. So, not recommended with dogs.. A shame, because it looked like a beautiful spot.

We wanted to stay 3 days endet up for a week. Very beautyful, safe campground where you park directly on the beach. We took the blue bus (2500 cop p.p) to Palomino and a mototaxi (10000 cop) back.
Beware of the sandflies, otherwise paradise. Paid 40000 cop p.n for two in a truckcamper.

good Claro signal normally, but when windy or with storm, which is not unusual in Palomino, no signal and no electricity 😅

I paid $30000 per night, (they refused to give me discount) I stayed 3 night. use power, clean bathroom, shower and refill water tanks.

I arrived with an issue in the roof and they borrow me stairs and a worker to review my solar panel mfollowing my instructions. Very friendly and helpful people.

I was very happy to meet another’s overlanders here, we shared beautiful moments, watch red moon, sky full of stars, bioluminescence, sunset

It is exactly as everyone else has said. A beautiful beach front site, set in a coconut plantation. The host family were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us during our very extended stay. We have never experienced such a wonderful place anywhere else in the world. Very safe, quiet and well maintained. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Report Check-In

Wow... this is the most beautiful beach spot we have stayed in 1,5 years traveling in south america. We just couldn’t leave this place and stayed 9 nights. The bathroom is very basic but ok. There are watertaps (unfortunately not very clean water) and electricity to plug in. The people are very friendly and helpful. With wooden panels, they helped us to park on a shady spot in the sand with our 2wd van.

great place next to the beach within walking distance to palomino.

Report Check-In

As described. Run by a very nice family. We had the place to ourselves. Great shade to park up in- when you step out onto the beach you how important that is. Not recommended to swim in th sea but the river is about 45 min walk or catch a bus or moto

Report Check-In

Large grassy place with mature coconut trees. High bushes, perfect to chill in a hammock. Many flat places to park a motorhome between the trees, but be aware of falling nuts and leaves. One of the nicest, most ,caribbean' campings we have encountered in northern Columbia.

Report Check-In

We really enjoyed the place. The best beach close to Palomina. Accessible with any size rig. Nice and quite place to enjoy beach life. By the beach a enjoyable minute walk to town

Report Check-In

Very nice place to stay close to Palomino: you park directly on the beach in the shade of some trees. They have some tables and chairs that you can use to have a nice breakfast looking at the waves :-) The owners are super friendly (they gave us a coconut as a welcome present).

They have built new bathrooms and showers which add to the old ones: the new bathrooms are situated closer to the area where you park and are quite nice.

As most beaches in the Colombian Caribbean, the sea is not turquoise and can be quite rough at times: the first time we were here the sea was calm and you could swim easily, the second time the waves were much bigger (still the current was not that strong)

Ask the owner to find some langostinos for you!

Report Check-In

Beautiful place and you can park directly at the beach. The owners are very friendly. They told us that it is now 30k for two people to camp. In our opinion this is absolutely justified, especially with respect to other campings in this are and close to Parque Tayrona.
The bathroom is a little bit old-fashioned but clean.
The owners also can help you to organize some tours. We did the tubing and liked it.

Report Check-In

Beautiful location right on the beach. We had a long day and were too tired to set up tents. Rented a cabaña with a fan, 35K per person with private bathroom. They have two other rooms with shared bathroom for 30K per person. The space is nice, with gazebos, tables and chairs, shady areas with lounge chairs, and hammocks. The family is really nice and welcoming. They’ll make meals upon request. Otherwise it’s a long walk into town - 3 km which can be done on the beach with a river crossing, or by walking on the main road. A moto taxi cost us 3K per person. Only thing that would have made our stay better would be WiFi, but claro had reception here.

Report Check-In

Simply Amazing! We stayed for 5 nights and was exactly what we wanted. No tourists - we were the only ones until cool overlanders came by. On the beach under trees and you wake up to the sound of waves and birds feeding on the fruits above you. Amazing staff and simple but clean facilities! They asked for 30k for 2 persons but we negotiated 20k. No WiFi. It gets quite humid so recommend getting a USB fan in Santa Marta. Also no cash machines in Palomino so make sure you have enough cash.

Report Check-In

We loved this place ! We stayed 9 nights! A record for our trip because except for the Swisswasi in Peru we stayed maximum 3 nights in the same place. Ilsi the owner is very nice and Goyo and Jose the workers are always happy to help you if you need something! Ask them to buy langoustina in town and then you cook them on the beach it’s delicious and very cheap ! We had a very good time there ! 20000per night (for couple or family)

Hermoso lugar!

Report Check-In

BEAUTIFUL place with camper van spots directly at the ocean. We were able to get close to the water although no 4x4 drive (little difficult, though). Spent 5 nights here to relax, wich worked perfectly. Extremely nice hosts, who prepare meals for you if you ask. Had dinner three times, highly recommend (also for vegetarians ~ 10 kCOP & pescatarians ~12-20 kCOP). Facilities basic, always a little sandy & one night the generator was down, which was both fine for us. If you look for a place to RELEX, come here. The missing WiFi added to our calm.

Report Check-In

Dream spot directly at the beach under palm trees! And only 20.000 COP per vehicle! Super friendly owner! Helped us with our laundry and even gave us a ride to Palomino to go groceries shopping! Could have stayed here much longer but unfortunately had to move on.
Nice walk on the beach (with a river crossing breast deep) for about an hour to get to Palomino (nice beach cafes).

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite right on the beach. It’s super clean and the staff’s very friendly. The‘ve been running it for a year now and they still do their best to attract new tourists.

Tables and chairs at your disposal,
At the moment there’s no WiFi, but they’re hoping to change that soon. Bring a claro sim and you’ll have your own Internet access. Movistar has poor coverage there.

Amazing sunsets and sunrises. Very quiet. You only hear the waves crushing. Nice walk on the beach with a river crossing to get to Palomino.

The waves here won’t let you swim in the see, but you can bathe in the river close by.

Recommend!

really nice campsite, pitched my tent right by the beach but in the shade (careful where though, lest you end up with coconuts falling on your tent or vehicle). staff really nice and helpful, quiet beach, can go for a dip if you brave the shore break, and can walk to the river and palomino along the beach. paid 20,000 cop for motorcycle and tent, could have probably negotiated a bit less.
