iOverlander cannot verify if wild camping is permitted at this location. It is your responsibility to verify local laws or obtain consent before staying the night.
Creepy place to stay the night, directly across from the Bomberos station. Pretty quiet at night, the veggie stand across the way starts to setup kind of early. NO FACILITIES but a shower and bathroom are within walking distance (also in iOverlander). Free. The police and fire guys told us it was a good place to camp.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Report Check-InFine if you want/need to stay in town. Not very level, but doable. Very dirty and dusty parking area, especially when cars/trucks drive by. Short walk to square. There is a vendor selling some produce across the parking lot amongst other vendors. Quiet at night. There is a lot of road construction in town, and this road also says closed, but everyone seems to drive around a 'barrier' and park here anyway. There were three campers the night we spent here.
Local amplo, perto do centro, mas terreno irregular.
Pouco movimento. Noite tranquila.
the first night we slept at the cementary. But in the morning, 2 ladies from the municipality came and asked everybody to move. They said it was not allowed to Park here because it could disturb firemen when They go out (in the other side of the road!!!) and locals couldn't park to go to the cementary !!!
I think there were too much overlanders there this day (there were 6 overlanders including 2 big rigs).
They told us the "official place" for overlanders is in front of the soccer field. So we mooved there and spent two others nights (without problem).
Report Check-InStayed here a couple of nights. Probably the best and safest place around here, it was also recommend by the tourist office in town. Just next to cemetery, big trash can at the entrance. Many campers every night. Nearest toilet is where marked, like 500m away, but only open after 8 am.
Report Check-InGood place to stay for a night. Shops and gastronomy in walking distance. You will meet a lot of overlander's here to talk 😊
Report Check-InNo facilites. It is the “bigger” point of the motorhome in San Pedro. We felt safe here. And we talk a lot with other travelers!
Report Check-InSpend 2 nights here. First night only 2 moterhomes. Second night 6 !! So we felt super safe and its quiet, even on saturday. Bathrooms 2 blocks away for $500 now. Bathrooms at bus terminal free but a little further away. Market in front of the cemetery with all the vegetables you need. Definitely recommend this place. Close to center (5minutes)
Report Check-InWe had great nights at this location. Several other motorhomes stopped there, so it was a great opportunity to talk to several travelers. We even left the motorhome alone to do some tourism agency tours, and nothing happened to the motorhome. @edu.e.carol
Tivemos excelentes noites neste local. @edu.e.carol
Report Check-InGreat Place! And so many overlanders that there is always someone there so also safe to keep the car there during the day. Everything in walking distance
Report Check-InYep, overlanders abound in this spot. Nice place to stay in San Pedro and meet other travelers. So far peaceful and quiet nights.
Report Check-InWe were parked in front of the cemetery for almost 2 weeks. It is safe and well located, close to the showers and the city center. However, during the day there is a lot of traffic of people, but at night it is very quiet. No facilities in place.
Nenhuma facilidade no lugar.
Report Check-InGreat place for a night with heaps of other overlanders. Level spots and good vibes. No facilities.
Report Check-InGood place to stay the night. A lot of parking spots along the wall that borders the cemetery. We encountered more overlanders here, good vibes. You can fill bottles of water at the bomberos. We didn't ask them to fill our tank, because it was freezing at night.
Report Check-InWe stay here for 4 days. Quiet, in front of the Bomberos Base. No problems during the night. Only difficult ocours because its not disponible water and electricity. If you have solar generation electricity and a considerable stock of water, you dont will have problems.
Report Check-InGood Park Car. No water and electricity. Nearby bombero base and downtown
Report Check-InNot the greatest spot, lots of traffic all hours of night and morning. Positive- the fruit and vegetable stand across the road is excellent!
