Description

This town (Gauraú) sits on a sand beach in a small bay. You will drive some steep (paved) roads taking you over a few hills to get here.

This is the largest campground in town, with grassy area for tents, super clean white tile bathrooms, warm suicide showers (some with protecting ground connected), kitchen area (not quite so clean).

Clearance for entry approximately 2.7 meters. Few places for RVs or vehicles with rooftents.

All sites nicely shaded. Electricity on the campground 110V, but 220V available from restaurant. Good reception of both VIVO and Claro GSM networks.

Very close to the beach (just the ocean-view restaurant in between). Bring insect repellent - I was 'eaten alive' while on the beach by small (2-3 mm) striped flies which are active during the day.

Price is now R$ 40-50 per person per night.

Latest Check-Ins

Entrance height closer to 9 ft as our promaster van with max air vent fan fit underneath. Cleanest, most welcoming option of the open campgrounds near the beach here, but still not great. Asked 50 per person for motorhome. Tent camping 40 pp. Bathrooms with warm suicide showers. 110v in parking area. Wi-Fi very weak in camp area for vans. Better in tent zone. Street dogs barked off and on all night and random thumping music from cars.

The place is okey. One block to the braco. Nice owners. Really good hot water in the showers. They les me stay with my dog because we were out of season. Clean bathrooms. Kitchen ok. They charged us R45pp. I found it to expensive for thiswtown and for being out of season.
