Mazamitlá - PEMEX, Free | Informal Campsite

We stayed here several nights while exploring beautiful Mazamitla, and we found it to be very safe, comfortable & relatively quiet (with our fan on, we couldn’t hear any traffic at night).

Several tasty taco places within 100m, as well as the Oxxo & a little tienda in the same parking lot— everything you need!

Free- a little truck noise and car traffic. No one bothered us. After not being able to find a level spot in Mazamitla that didn’t have the potential for even more noise- this was good for us.
We did the waterfall hike in town. Pretty spot and great walk through pine forest with unique vacation homes.

We arrived at 5PM ande leave the next day at 9AM. Really quite at night. Some trucks parked around but not noise at all.

As described. Big parking lot, some buses and trucks staying overnight too. Bathrooms 5pesos, not sure if open all night.

Mazamitlá is worth a stop. Cute Little pueblo magico with a nice plaza and cobblestone Streets. Many cabañas for rent, nice Restaurants, etc. Altitude 2.100 m, so nice and cool Nights. Pemex Open 24hrs, we felt safe, not much traffic at Night somit was very quiet.
