Very nice place with nice people working. Travelling with a bicycle, tent emplacement NAB 250, to put your own tent or use one in place. Electricity only at the reception. A collective place to cook but you must have your own stove. Hippos could be seen in the river just under the bar terrasse.
Report Check-InWe were welcomed by Calvin who is very friendly. We chose to sleep in house 1 instead of Camping. Close to the Kwando river.
On the morning we had a boat trip with Calvin to see the hippos.
We saw plenty of them... Sometimes it is scaring as they go under the water and you don't know where they are and what are their intentions. There was a baby hippo and Calvin drove the boat very fast to go further not to be attacked by the mother. We also saw many birds and 2 crocodiles. I was offered a waterlily necklace by Calvin...the same necklace that bushmen make when they want to get married (according to our guide).
Great place and great moment and never mind if the shower is cold as the temperature of the air is rather hot.
Camp is very nice. Sites with shade and picnic table, braii spot. No electricity.
Shower is donkey - for us it was cold.
There is a deck with veiw over the river. And some shade and hide from the rain.
Price was 200pp/pn.
For us expensive for what you get - no wifi, no electricity, shower was cold.
The place itself is very nice, and the other camps around were even more expensive.
It is a good spot to camp. Very clean ablution. And specially very friendly and helpful staff. They also offer boattrips. We undertook one and it was wonderful and peaceful.
The restaurant will open in about two months. Then it will be a beautiful campsite!
Very nice and peaceful place; the camping spots are beautifully integrated in between the trees. Dark and quiet at night, except for the sounds of nature. 150 N$ ppn.
Report Check-InNice place but still under construction. No reception and hard to find any employee here. :) the campsites have no river view but are really good, toilets also.
