Gravel path leading down from road to a good-sized river bank. Freshwater access and beautiful clear water for a swim. Fantastic views through valley! Grassy areas to pitch tent. Mostly hidden from road. Suitable for up to medium rigs, may struggle to turn big rigs down here. Much cleaner than your average spot. Places for fires. 3G signal too

Dont recommend this place, it is not that nice, and doesn't smell good. Going up was very difficult even with a 4wd.
Report Check-InStayed here for a night, it was a nice spot with access to the river. We filtered water from there. The entrance is still a bit tricky with a 2DW. We actually spent close to 1hr trying to get out, 4 young men showed up and helped us push the car up but without them it would have been impossible
Report Check-InLovely place! Very calm even if its close to thr road. Not big rig friendly. Better to have 4x4 as the road is quite tricky. Easy river access in case you have a boat. free!
Report Check-InLovely spot for small 4wd rigs or bikes. Can confirm I needed a few tries to go up even with a 4wd. Better to bring your own water, the cochamó river has plenty of cattle living upstream.
Very peaceful.
Report Check-InBeautiful windless spot on grass and only just outside the road. Peaceful when the horseflies leave after sunset. Safe spot is on the grass, the tide can vary a lot here. We went for a swim in the crystal clear waters.
Only the path down is full of holes, we did it very calm in a 4x4. Up we even had to use our diff lock to get it out - not for 2wd
Report Check-InWundervoller Stellplatz in traumhafter Umgebung direkt am Fluss und trotz der nahen Straße sehr ungestört. Weg in äußert schlechtem Zustand, 4x4 unbedingt erforderlich!
Report Check-InExcelente lugar !
Take your toilet paper with you !
Camping simple, muy tranquilo a orilla Río Cochamo. muy seguro. Atendido por sus dueños. Excelentes personas. $6000.- chilenos por persona/noche.
Report Check-InGreat place to camp for the night. As previous person noted, very rutted out starting about halfway up. I had a 4x4 and it did fine. A young guy in a 2-wheel truck came down in early afternoon with his girlfriend to go swimming. He struggled getting out and caused even more rutting as he thought spinning his tires for about 20 seconds was going to solve his problem. After he finally got out, I went up and tried to repair his damage, but it really just needs to be re-graded.
Busy during the day with lots of traffic on the road kicking up tons of dust, but settled out after the sunset around 22:00/10pm
Report Check-InThe short gravel path leading down from the road is currently in bad shape- deeply rutted in the areas you need traction. We opted not to drive our 2wd van down it- going down would be no issue, but we weren't sure we could get it out. 4wd would be fine.
You could also park on the side of the road above the entrance and walk down with a tent.
Super beautiful spot! And very little trash.
Report Check-InPerfect spot with amazing view ! Next to the river with a place to parc the van of the road
Report Check-InSpent 4 nights here. Beautiful quiet spot with amazing view. On the water, no mosquitoes, perfect view, absolutely recommended.
Report Check-Inbeautiful camp site! we came with our truck and medium camper and made it in and out perfectly fine. it wasn't muddy today though. amazing views, close to Cerro Arcoiris to get to in the morning, and free!
Report Check-Instayed for a night, nice quiet place just off the road. few families having a picnic when we arrived on Friday evening around 6 but they left by 7:30 pm.
river doesn't look clean enough to use. I guess the fish farming in the area is polluting it...
Report Check-Inerratum on the last comment. When we tried to leave the place after the second night, we could not as the road was really bad. The van get stuck and we had to call the fireman to help us.
Report Check-InWe spend 2 nights here. The place is super cool. Quiet, beautifull. There is enought space for 5-6 cars. Campervan can also access, we did it with our.
You have an amazing view on the Lake. We did a fire, we saw a pit when we arrived. Nobody bothered us. We spend 2 perfect night.
The spot is 3meters above the lake so any issue with the tide at this season.
