Latest Check-Ins

Lake was full in May. Made it down the road in the Prius (but only just) and found a pull off to the right of the road in, above the parking lot, the rest was too rocky for my low clearance. Lots of nesting kingbirds, swallows, and 2 nighthawks in the evening.

Nice place, accessible for big rig .
Belle place , route de graviers. En roulant tranquillement c’est accessible pour de gros véhicules.

Decent place. Bumpy road but we made it with our 30’ class C. Stayed here 2 nights. T-mobile and Verizon worked just fine. The only thing that we didn't expect when we got there was that the lake is dry. So not as pretty as our expectations 🤣

Report Check-In

Its a pretty good little spot. We were able, and felt perfectly safe doing so, to get out 32’ skoolie pulling a 18’ car trailer in with no issues at all.
Yeah the last 1000 or so feet of road suck but it was still easy.
It would be more difficult if wet!

Great place to stay for one night & beautiful sunset views. Like people said, it seems like a place people come to party at, so there’s quite a bit of glass. A couple people showed up at night to shoot guns, but left after a couple minutes. Probably need high clearance because the road is very rocky at some points.

pretty dirty but a good place to rest. travel down the bumpy dirt road for abit toget to the water.

Not bad place to overnight. Several campsites along the lake, some easy to get to others need high clearance and 4x4. Some garbage around but not too bad. I was surprised to see all the oil drills on the other side of the lake.

Not much to add that has an already been said. We had no problem getting here in our 144 inch wheelbase 4 x 4 sprinter. It appears there of been lots of fires were people probably burn all kinds of things, hence the metal and nails are left over on the ground. Nice views of the lake, lots of birds were around.

Still trashed. Lake is full, but people seem to bonfire with furniture here. We moved on, didnt spend the night.

This was an amazing spot during the day, the lake had water and plenty of ducks! There are multiple spots to pick from. The road down there was very rocky (potential to pop a tire) and some spots were easier to get to than others but it was so worth the view! There was a lot of trash/glass/nails so we picked up a few trash bags full. However around 11 local atvs and pickups drove right behind the van and had a bonfire near us. They were harmless just sketch that they accessed the spot by driving right near our spot, they weren’t too noisy though. Amazing Verizon service!

not a bad spot on the lake. quiet, a little civilian traffic from carlsbad, but was unbothered. there is still a lot of trash here, but it doesnt smell at all. stayed 2 nights in a row with no issue

I would not recommend. Road is full of rocks and small ditches. The camp site is an old boat ramp. TRASH EVERYWHERE. Fire pits full of trash (one in particular had 100 nails). The lake bed was dried up. People doing 4x4 on lake until very late.
